What the article on Bloomberg said was that Dowd asked the bank and another source and was told there is no subpoena. then it goes on to say that the bank would not release any information to the general public.

Why the vitriol? Bloomberg reported that a subpoena had been issued, and complied with. One of the presidents* lawyers has issued a statement that no subpoena was issued. In both cases Tierney reported/summarized the events that happened, without editorializing.

They’ll show you a lot about a person’s character, like whether he takes tax breaks that are so aggressive they border on criminality, how much they really give to charity and what charities they give to. They’ll tell you something about how much money he makes that may or may not be close to the truth and give you some idea of how rich they are. But they’ll tell you next to nothing about who he does business with, what business the people he does business with does, and what business he does.
