Gangsta with a JD.
NBC politics says they cancelled because they felt he violated their agreement not to talk to the press about it. They will now subpoena him (possibly for public testimony). It’s an early report, waiting for more confirmation.
Edit: Confirmed. Burr tweeted a joint statement from the leaders of Senate Intel.
Let us hope that the subpoena includes a “Testify under oath” section.
Anybody want to bet they decided he was a hostile, dissembling witness and they told him to get the hell out while they prepared a stack of subpoenas?
Oops. Just noticed @spacepenguin beat me to it.
Cohn with an extra vowel.
They’re still picking themselves up off the floor after reading that howler of a statement.
Everyone and everything around Trump spells arrogant.
Fans of old-time wrestling will recall the moments when, a villain was cornered, he’d produce some kind of hidden irritant substance, and toss it in his opponent’s eyes.
Looked it up a while back, his law school was ranked #202 out of 204. Only the best people.
“He denied specifically working with the Russian federation to hack Democratic Party computers or to create fake news stories to influence the presidential campaign.”
Well of course he didn’t work with Russians.
It was the Ukrainians who lined his pockets.
Like his Ukrainian wife and in-laws, who laundered money through at least ten luxury Trump properties.
And his partners in the Ukrainian ethanol business.
Or his Ukrainian buddy Artemenko, with whom he cooked up the plan to lift Russian sanctions.
And then lied about it.
Or, as it would be spun in Trumppland, he went to an exceptional law school*.*
I was going to post something similar but you did it better. Cohen looks and acts like a second rate thug in a bad B movie. What a bunch of losers.
Trump: I am so proud of Cohen. I will now definitely pardon him. Very Smart!!
These clowns can’t even lie effectively:
“before the Iowa caucus and months before the very first primary.”
When was the Republican NH primary, you ask?
February 9.
And stupid, not a good combo.
Any lying under testimony is subject to penalty regardless of oath. Lying to Congress is an offense oath or no.
Cohen is so fricking bright he thought it was legal to rape your wife. Knowing that who knows what misconception he suffers as to oath/no oath testimony to Congress.
Oh, details, details.
Lying from Congress, on the other hand…
