Discussion: Trump Latches Onto Mueller Finding That Russians Pushed Anti-Trump Rallies

Pro tip for the Trumpers.
This is formally known as stirring the pot:

Mueller’s indictment found that Russians promoted both a pro-Trump rally and an anti-Trump protest on the same day in November

Shorter
Trump grasps at any straw he can as the SS Trump goes down.

Ignoring all the anti Hillary blather they also generated.
Ignoring that it was the primary mission to sow discord
Ignoring the fact that you have done exactly Jack shit about it over the last year while condemning everyone EXCEPT the Russians and Putin

It will be a great day in America when you are gone

Anything anti-Trump during that time period before the election made his feral supporters more determined to vote. Anything after the election just keeps the divisions in the country going, something Trump himself has done. And the Russians have certainly been busy on social media and otherwise, even after the election in Nov. 2016. Their efforts didn’t stop there and neither has Trump’s (he began his 2020 campaign right around the time of the inauguration). You could just as easily conclude that Trump is still “colluding” with the Russians to divide the country and keep it divided.

President Donald Trump latched into Mueller’s finding that Russians organized and promoted anti-Trump rallies after the election.

Wait 'til he gets to the part where Mueller says the entire Inauguration crowd was flown in via Aeroflot.

But there was Ol’ hamhocks Sanders yesterday Trumpsplaining for us and telling us the FBI was chasing a “Hoax”
It’s all they’ve got
From the transcript
Q So did he mistweet when he said that? Because he’s pretty direct. He says, “This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion.”

MS. SANDERS: I think he’s making the point that we would like our FBI agencies to not be focused on something that is clearly a hoax, in terms of investigating the Trump campaign and its involvement —

Absolutely. He is aiding and abetting an ongoing crime against the United States and obstructing justice by covering up for the perpetrators.

Trump is an idiot. The Russians wanted him elected. They sowed discord leading up to the election, because discord in our society weakens us and serves their interests. Once Trump was elected their continued sowing of discord is merely furthering their goal of disruption and polarization in the U.S. Rallies against Trump post-election and support for Trump pre-election are all part of one continuum.

Trump isn’t being devious, or deflecting, or playing up events he understands on some micro level.Trump truly just doesn’t get it. He’s the dog biting at the stream of water from the garden hose.

Donnie-boy finds comfort in discovery that Putin is a really poor ally.

Ignoring the fact that it was just Russia who paid people to organize the thing. The people who showed up were real voters who hate(d) him.

Or how large his electoral college victory was.

The Russians are sophisticated. Anti-Trump rallies after the election a way to confuse the issue and cover their tracks. Classic false flag operation. This certainly deserves careful investigation. Bet Mueller on it. We’ll see.

Nailed it.

Organize an anti-Trump protest, hire a bunch of “pro-Hillary” protesters and pay them per black eye and bloody nose inflicted. Voilà, the base is enraged and energized.

Bone Spurs is grasping at any straw these days. His hysteria is gonna get worse as the indictments continue to roll in.

Well, to be fair, if there’s one thing Evangelicals are really good at, it’s cherry-picking.

Shorter Trump: See! See! It was Russians who didn’t like me! No collusion! No collusion!

Kayfabe? Or has it dawned on him that the Russians are not his friends?

Doesn’t matter if the Russians are his friends or not, or even if he realizes it or not — he knows or suspects all the dirt they have on him and he’s more terrified of that than anything else.

What I am interested In is Trump’s attitude towards betrayal. If we are correct and there has been collusion, Trump may well view the Russians as the people who helped him ‘earn’ the Presidency. Taking ‘earned’ in the same sense that he views it as smart to pay no taxes. He cheated fair and square and he was very smart to enlist the favor of the wealthiest man on the planet. So even though both he and Putin know Putin has kompromat, it is in neither party’s interest to make that too explicit when they can just pretend to be best friends. Trump is very vengeful if he believes people have crossed him.

Do you suppose that they are having to give him bits and pieces of the indictments so that he can understand them a little bit at a time? Everyone else read that the day that the indictments were released and understood exactly what it meant. This smacks of having to think of a way to spin it, and what with one spin and another, it took a while to spin this particular bit of joy.
Perhaps they’re giving it to him in a graphic novel format, with him as the superhero who comes in and fixes everything.
