Discussion for article #246413
Jeb!: I too will gladly vote for Sir Don. I now see Iraq was a major mistake.
“We don’t need a policy wonk as President. We need a leader as President,” Hunter said.
The lemmings were right all along.
“We don’t need a policy wonk as President. We need a leader as President,”
Yeah, we need someone who will make the tough decisions to institute pogroms against immigrants, to ensure the uneducated stay supportive of less social services, to keep those damn uppity working class people working for as little as possible.
Go Trump Go! Fight Trump Fight!
Trump says he identifies with and loves the poorly educated> Then we have:
…
Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) told Politico that America “doesn’t need a policy wonk” in his endorsement of Trump.
“We don’t need a policy wonk as President. We need a leader as President,” Hunter said.
…
Yah, we don’t need no stinkin’ smart guy to be President, we need us a redneck freakin’ LEADER!!!ONE23!!!
Fuck the details!!! He don’ need ta know how shit works!!!
It’s nightmarish to see the idea of a President Trump becoming gradually more acceptable to anyone. And by “nightmarish” I don’t mean that it’s bad and I strongly disapprove. I mean it’s horribly unreal, like a nightmare; it’s too horrible to believe or accept.
Hey! Paulie!! What say you?
Trump supporters in Congress. They just have to come out of the closet, so to speak," he added.
What’s that?!? A far right Republican Congressman son of a former far right Republican Congressman uses a term from the gay rights movement they still want to crush to describe the cowardice of other deep cover National Socialist/white supremacist elected officials??? Oh sure…no problem.
I can’t deal with the idea of Trump=normality
I think I’ll go barf now
Breakfast is out of the question.
I couldn’t agree with you more. It seems like the goalposts have definatley been moved from one of total absurdity to horrifying possibility. If this completely bizarre and abhorrent possibility doesn’t get Dems to the polls, I really just don’t know what would.
The Donald’s guts are all in his mouth - he’s all talk, you nitwits. All bullies are cowards - that’s why they become bullies.
“We don’t need a policy wonk as President. We need a leader as President,” Hunter said.
Politico transcribed that wrong. As used, the “L” in “leader” should have been capitalized.
Here’s the plan:
- Get nominated as the Republican presidential candidate.
- Select the man you think should be president as your running mate.
- Get elected president.
- Resign, thus installing your pick for president while circumventing the problem of selling him to the electorate.
Too conspiratorial?
It’s ok - just think of him as America’s Berlusconi and it takes some of the incomprehensibility out of it for me.
probably too much of a plan. I don’t think Trump had any plans going into this. I think it was an opportunity he saw and he jumped on it because in the long run he can’t lose - he won’t be president but he will have gotten a gazillion dollars worth of free publicity and he’ll make a fortune off the whole thing.
But Berlusconi was elected. I might have to decamp to Italy should Trump measure the curtains in the White House.
Yes and no. Hunter, like fellow Californian POS Issa, was never to be mistaken for an establishment Republican. He was always on the fringe and the fringe has now become the center for what passes as the GOP. The GOP isn’t even our Tories anymore. They’ve become our UKIP.
What would Trump do if he got elected then? Resign and say “I didn’t mean it”?
People who place little value on knowledge endorse the candidate who knows nothing about being President. Surprise!
President Palin?
