Discussion: Trump Jumps To 21-Point Lead In CNN/ORC Poll

The poll has a large margin of error but lets play with it. Give Rubio all the benefit of the doubt and he jumps to 16 or 17 %. If you take away all the statisticians allow from Trump he still stands at 32 or 33 %. Go Trump! I do hope CNN got this one right. Nice X-Mass gift for Clinton and Sanders.

out of “438 registered voters who describe themselves as Republicans or Republican-leaning independents”

61% of those polled DON’T choose Trump = 267
82% DON’T choose Cruz = 359
90% DON’T choose Rubio or Carson = 394
95% DON’T choose Christie = 416

Given the total number of Americans who describe themselves as R or R leaning independents, I don’t feel so bad anymore.

Am I reading this right? Trumps Unfavorable among all americans is 57%. Totally expected. But it’s matched by Jeb! Bush who’s also at 57%. When you look at how much money Jeb! has poured into ads so far, that’s amazing.

Or statistical noise.

So, the headline should be “Trump increases lead over Cruz”, really.

Maybe Rafael should put out more ads with his kids?

Ugh! I’m reading too much about Rump and “shlonged” because when I first saw that headline my first reaction was “The orcs are voting now??”

I keep telling people forget “popcorn” time and get to “Jamison whisky” time.

The establishment hoping this election breaks for Jeb! or Christie are like me, in the third quarter of a football game, hoping that–even though we’ve never led in a game we were supposed to win–we’ll pull it out in 4th quarter.

We never win those games, but I get the same feeling every time we have trailed throughout a game we were supposed to win.

Article is confusing. Opens with poll reporting 21 pt. lead. I think it means in a poll of all the populace. Only in last paragraph are we told that only Republicans/Repub. leaners were polled.

This is good news. You realize Trump is going to lose big in the general election right? Only swing state I see him possibly winning is Florida. People need to stop looking at polling and look at an electoral map. What I will find amusing is if Trump does win the nomination. Watching the GOP establishment try and BS their way around supporting a Trump campaign. Someone like John McCain who knows better… That’s going to be funny. Marching on to their politico death. I do believe if Trump is the nominee versus Clinton. If Hillary runs a competent campaign the Dems will gain in the House, win the Senate and win the WhiteHouse.

It’s in the best interest of the media to make it interesting. But I have ZERO fears Trump will ever be President. ZERO. I have Hillary winning 318 Electoral votes vs Trump right now.

Of course anything can happen between now and convention time, but at least Dr. Ben is dropping in the polls. Woo Hoo!

If Rubio can just hit 7 back-to-back 3-pointers, it goes to sudden death!

Jeb! looks like a big toe with eyes.

Trumps the disaster rebound romance for GOP’s after the ugly divorce from Bush/ Cheney.

At this point I am hoping Trump gets nominated. Hillary or Bernie wouldn’t have any trouble rolling over him.
