They are really going all-in on the “as it turned out” defense, aren’t they?

I wonder who is going to tell them there is no such thing as an “as it turned out” defense?

Mueller?

Ya know,

When you are wealthy, entitled and given deference because of Dad, you really do not get to practice Excuses 101.

“To the extent they had information concerning the fitness, character or qualifications of a presidential candidate, I believed that I should at least hear them out,” the statement said, according to report. (Donald, Jr.)

LOL. Keep talking, dude – you’re digging that hole deeper.

“Right …right. We hear you Mr. Trump. Makes perfect sense to us too. Yea, that’s all. Say hello to your dad for us.”

Such a relief it is to see this young man – a kid, really – showing such concern for his country. Thanks to God for these wonderful congresspeople for keeping it all under wraps and behind closed doors. None of us would want our own child’s youthful error to ruin his or her reputation once they were all grownup. Would we?

Smell test. Smell test smell test smell test.

It just occurred to me—the thing about this is, he’s a Trump, and he couldn’t have said “Look, I was curious, it was an error in judgment.” He had to make it his patriotic fucking duty. It had to be a thing he deserved a medal for. That’s what’s going to bring this crime family down.

Who could possibly have foreseen that he was going to go with a series of lies so transparent they represent a smirkingly brazen insult to the intelligence of the American public and the very concept of integrity itself that are also inconsistent with the prior four versions of the story?

These lies are not just insulting to our intelligence, but reek of projection, too. I wonder who was involved in crafting them…

@tena It’s about “dominating” us by insisting on observable lies. I didn’t just hit you; you hit yourself.

“As it later turned out, my skepticism was justified. The meeting
provided no meaningful information and turned out not to be about what
had been represented,” Trump said in his statement, according to the
Times.
…
Yeah, turned out it was about collusion between you and the Russians huh Donnie? And your dad was not involved? I call BS right there.

Slap some makeup on this guy and you’ve got the star clown from “It” He’s creepy either way, but the clown from the movie is deviously smart. Not so much for dump jr.
