Lucky for the interests of justice everywhere, the Saudis have announced that they are launching a one month long “investigation”!!! I don’t know if Devin Nunes will be running it, but I’m sure it will be him or someone of his smarts and integrity.
When a cover story is this bad, and reflects so poorly on the people telling it, you know
the truth that it is trying to cover is truly horrendous.

The Saudis’ new story is that Khashoggi did die after a quarrel between him and others happened.
They’ve arrested 16 poor suckers in the murder.

So they want us to believe:
• That they flew more than a dozen security guys to the consulate in anticipation that an overweight expat journalist taking care of paperwork would start a quarrel?
• And one of these security guys had knock-out shots and bone saws?
• And their reaction, once the overweight expat journalist taking care of paperwork died in the quarrel, was to dismember the body and dispose of it, and then all fly back to Riyadh?
I fully expect Trump to offer to send the FBI agents who conducted the second probe of Kavanaugh to Saudi Arabia to aid in the investigation!

The headline of this article, btw, is precisely wrong. The trump tweet quoted in the piece denies video or a transcript. So audio it is.
At some point people are going to be wondering just how thoroughly the saudi consulate was bugged, and whether it was for any other reason. E.g. whether/how much Saud is also working with various folks that Erdogan considers enemies.

None of the following “denials” actually disputes that Pompeo (which, by the way, is short for Pompous A-hole) heard a digital audio recording of Khashoggi’s murder.

Welp I expect I’m dating myself but this came to mind when I heard Khashoggi died because of a “fistfight” at the Saudi consulate.
And that trump accepted that weak explanation. Weak donald, weak.
A fist fight between a 60 year old and 15 guys all of whom were half his age, except one who had a bone saw and was probably the best forensic doctor in Saudi Arabia (He needs his medical license pulled). And I am supposed to believe that fist fight malarkey?

No one has claimed that Pompeo was shown a video -and the audio would be in the from of a digital file, not tape. No one uses tape anymore.
Given how readily and openly Preshtident Skanky-Manslut is sucking up to the Crown Prince, I am thinking that Mo Bone Saw sent Preshitident Skanky-Manslut pee hookers at the Riyadh Ritz Carlton during his visit.
Trump and party don’t want to hear the recordings because if they do it will make it that much harder for them to continue to bear false witness.
Remember, Pompeo looked shook and said the facts known so far about Khashoggi, by saying, “I don’t want to talk about the facts."
