If you increased the taxes on the top 400 richest families in the country by $100 Million per family (or as they call it “Lunch Money”) it would cancel out the Federal taxes paid by the bottom 80% of the country entirely. And the money that they save on Federal Taxes would be sent immediately back into the economy in for form of purchases by those 80%.
Don’t even get me started on the $Trillions that is ratted away in tax shelters around the world by individuals and corporations.
Progressive Taxation = Higher Investment of Capital to avoid taxes.
Lower Taxation = Higher sequestration of capital to avoid even the low taxes.
The only thing that low taxes on the wealthy does is to increase the price of the works of dead painters, by stupid %.
