Discussion: Trump: 'It's Easier To Make Moves' With Acting Cabinet Secretaries

His appointees are so corrupt and incompetent, they probably couldn’t pass muster even in a Republican controlled Senate. Also, this probably inoculates him from the 25th. But if you’re a President with even a shred of a doubt about being 25th, you shouldn’t be President.

Yes, life is much easier without following the Constitution or worrying about those pesky Senate confirmations.

On has a lot more flexibility if you don’t have to worry about picking someone that can make it though a confirmation hearing.

tRump likes to to keep one step ahead of cabinet member indictments; fortunately for him, the pool of corrupt cronies is so deep, he has no trouble finding the next limited-tenure potential felon

“It’s totally up to the attorney general,” Trump told CBS “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan, and it’s totally up to me to replace him if I think he is going to make the wrong decision.

Well, it’s fitting for an acting president.

1 / Moving quick is a classic pussy-grabbing technique. When you’re a President ®, the Senate lets you get away with it.
2 / What is with the word fantastic that he uses it so much? Dude needs a Thesaurus.
3 / The “acting” thing makes this even more of a bad reality tv show: Big Brother: Executive Branch Edition.

Is there a law that says how long an acting cabinet Secretary can be acting without confirmation?

And do acting secretaries have the same powers (for example 25th amendment) as confirmed Secretaries

Translation: I prefer to bypass the Constitutional requirement of Senate advice and consent and to act as a dictator.

Often you can see a general thrust, however crude, in the word salad. But I have literally no idea what he means by this. “Easier to make moves?” What moves? And why easier? It’s classic Harry Frankfurt bullshit, meant to persuade without regard for truth or falsity, and so far from either the words signify nothing.

That ball’s in the Senate’s court ……

But my opinion ……

is that the whole shit show …… all appointments …. even those confirmed ….

An ’ illegitimate ’ President …… makes everything resulting …. Illegitimate —

[just an opinion ….and not upheld by current law]
