I think Michael Dukakis issued that same vague statement in 1989.
WhoaâMichele Obama had an immigrant experience too? Is she from Kenya or Indonesia?
Melaniaâs team of writers took notes on her lifeâs inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking,"
So Melania was inspired by Michelle Obama? Who knew?
And that last bit needs some reworking: âand in some instances included parts that reflected her own fragmented thinking.â
Melania Barronâs writers were inspired by Michelle. As well they should.

Lead story on BBC news:
Trump's wife accused of plagiarism
http://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-36832095Brexit, Turkish coup, ax attack in Germany take a back seat.
Melania Trump told NBC News that she wrote the speech with âlittleâ assistance.
Oh, come on. In that social stratosphere, who gives credit to the coloured for their help?
But, but âŚMelania said she didnât need to practice the speech because she wrote it herself with very little help. Whatâs this about a âteam of writers?â And now, Paul Manafort claims there was absolutely no plagiarism - that these are common words and, I assume, itâs just a coincidence they ended up in the same sequence in this speech.
Aside from my great hope that Trump loses in November, I really, really want to avoid seeing this woman on TV again. Sheâs a goddamned gold digger, which is fine, you have to make a living. Letâs stop pretending that she is as accomplished and educated as Mrs. Obama. Sheâs as phony as her husband; I wonder if she can âblink her lipsâ? Sheâs not the problem; itâs her idiot husband who stands a chance of destroying the world. I guess fraud just runs in the family.
Jason Miller says she had a team of writers to help her with her âbest words.â Is Jason Miller kin to John Miller? Sounds like a fake name.
As Erik Erickson said on Twitter: âItâs not just that they plagiarized Michelle Obamaâs speech; they plagiarize the section on honesty, character, and integrity.â
Trump has called his wifeâs speech âincredibleâ. He probably needs to riffle through his file of âbest wordsâ and come up with a better one. I can agree with Trumpâs characterization of the speech, but only because where I come from, âincredibleâ means âcomplete bullshitâ.
Exactly. In + credibilis = not believable. He chose the âbest wordâ as a descriptor.
WTF?? Is that for real?
Incredible! Sad! The best words! Wow!
I teach a course on Responsible Conduct of Research for graduate students in the biomedical sciences and the classic definition of misconduct is Plagiarism, Fabrication or Falsification, a standard to which all academic researchers are held. We can be fined, sanctioned, or even fired, in addition to being ineligible to compete for federal grants for even âminorâ violations. If a first year student submitted this speech without proper attribution, they would be immediately dismissed from our program. It is inexcusable that politicians routinely plagiarize, fabricate and falsify with impunity. I suppose politiciansâ spouses are not that much different.
Check the eye-blinked Morse code: T-O-R-T-U-R-E
You guys are so STOOOOPID. Can you not see it? Itâs written right there: âsome instances included fragments that reflected her own thinkingâ = which is Trump speak for: âSure it included fragments lifted from Michelle Obamaâs speech BUT they reflected Melaniaâs own thinking!!!â So there!! The media is just labelling this as plagiarism when itâs just Melania copying words that reflected HER own thoughts and feelings. Sad!
Naked on a rug on a plane. Classy!
