The GOP pretends to reach out to minorities every election cycle.
Any minority who votes Republican should have their humanity questioned.
Edited to add: any person who votes Republican should have their humanity questioned. Thanks, @kendyzdad.
Why limit it to minorities?
Republican logic: “The only way we can become a post-racial society is to vote for the racist political party; you know, us”.
I thought it was only if we become a single-race society.
"Yes, it must be fun and ego-gratifying
to be Donald J. Trump right now. He’s won the GOP presidential
nominating contest without the complex nightmare of a contested
convention, and without significantly depleting his personal fortune (so
far as we know). The Republican and movement-conservative
Establishments are grudgingly but steadily moving into his camp. When he
comes to Washington
for meetings with his vanquished intra-party foes, it’s with the air of
a barbarian chieftain visiting Rome after the Sack. His opinion-leader
and journalistic detractors are in a state of cowed confusion over their
failure to accurately assess his political strength. Pollsters are
entering his presence with surveys
showing he could indeed beat Hillary Clinton (he needs only one every
once in a while to support his vainglorious talking points). And he
still has his formal coronation as the most unlikely GOP nominee since
Wendell Willkie ahead of him before the general-election campaign gets
fully underway. For the Donald, life is good, right?Maybe so, but not for long. "
Trumps going hard core for the white male conserative voter. Don’t quite understand if he just doesn’t realize they aren’t a majority anymore or just doesn’t give a shit. Probably figures the regular phony appeal republicans make to other groups doesn’t work so fuck it.
They’re reaching out to minorities in this election as well. They’re telling them “Under no circumstances should you vote GOP.” It should be an effective outreach.
Trump is like the bull that carries around its own China closet.
Minorities have been abused by the GOP since FDR.
These Three Stooges have nothing to worry about since the Koch Brothers and their Wall Street Pimp pals will spend whatever it takes to keep these rubber stamps in Congress.
Like other Democrats, I would rather see us vote positive. However. Latinos are registering in record numbers and planning to vote because Trump scares the heck out of them. He scares me too. Not a good year to be a Republican. Hello Hillary.
Karma. McCain brought the Whack Job from Wasilla into national politics, and the base acquired a taste for half-insane ignorant clownery that only grew with time.
It’s not just Trump – it’s the anti-non-white-immigrant rhetoric. In general, Republicans support exploiting immigrants by allowing them to work in the US, but remain a permanent underclass. The GOP is totally clueless that they think that shit is going to fly with Latinos.
So their conundrum is whether to run with the Racist Pig Trump now or play man of the people so that they can enable the Racist Pig Trump once they reach the halls of congress?
Chickens coming home to roost.
I guess I’d need more information about what these “accomplishments” are that republicans seem to think change the calculus when they’re pointed out. Anybody know what the hell they’re talking about?
Bbbbbuttt…you mean The Donald’s outreach to the Hispanic community hasn won them over???
Well…his new makeover and image change is sure to get him 100% of the Hispanic vote:
When I’m president, the Hispanics will love me. We’re going to have a YOOOOGE’ fiesta…and Mexico will pay for it.
So calm down GOPers! He’s going to be a YOOOOOGE’ asset to you.
Just to single out John McCain, he supports Donald Trump by definition. He’s neither resigned, retired nor switched parties. His whole Republican career has been spent supporting 95% of what Rump supports and believing 95% of what Rump believes. if both men were elected, God Forbid, McCain would vote for 95% of Rump’s preferred legislation and 100% of Rump’s nominees. John McCain supports Donald Trump.
But the interesting question to me, is whether Donald Trump support John McCain. It’s not enough to sweat McCain over Rump’s daily blurting of the nonsense. Reporters need to follow up with how Rump feels about McCain’s pathetic distancing effort. The inner insult comic is just dying to bleed through, so why not let him.
