I usually read “Time” in the john, right after I polish off the latest issues of “Colliers”, “Saturday Evening Post”, and “Look” magazines.
And Time forgot 3 other check boxes: “dickhead”, “fatass”, and “lying motherfucker”.

Two types of cable offerings:

(a) Chris Hayes, giggling along with Mike Steele and GOP-lite talking heads opining that “Trump is inevitable”, “Trump will bring new voters in”, “The Party is resigned”, “The Party will make the best of it”

(b) Lawrence O’Donnell evoking metaphors comparing the 13 days that the nation has to stop Trump from GETTING** to the General to the 13 Days of the Cuban Missile Crisis–a crisis I was intimately involved in because, as a U.S. Armed Forces dependent, I, my brother and Mom were contemplating escape plans (the Soviet Forces being approximately 200 kilometres away). The same Cuban Missile Crisis which could have ended the world as we know it. Lawrence is saying that Trump will end the world as we know it.

** Why is Lawrence talking about getting to the General with such urgency? After all, over half of us are confident that Trump will lose (I will not list the reasons for those who can express these reasons better than I can). He does this because he knows American stoopid.

  • A tsunami of lies from Trump so torrential that there would be about 100 with every Trump address

  • A snake-oil salesman ability to shift on a dime and grab up non-thinkers by the millions

  • The kind of “defense in depth” concept of the military and NASA…meaning that voting against Trump in the General is, in fact, THE LAST OPTION, the failure of which is death
