âIâve had people say itâs a hardening, actually.â
Voices in his head âŚ
Trump changes stance on _____________. In other news, the sun is still hot and puppies are adorable.
âI donât think itâs a softening,â Trump told CNNâs Anderson Cooper when the host noted that Trump actually said there could be a âsofteningâ of his policy on deportation. âIâve had people say itâs a hardening, actually.â
If you soften your stance, but youâre really, really committed to that softening, then you are hardening on the softening.
I learned this at Trump University.
It is the new Viagra immigration policy for curing Electoral Disfunction.
Weâve seen what your hardening looks like, HO, and its really hard to tell.
Projection from his arteries.
Trump launched into a rant about building a wall and said that he will give more details on his plan in a week.
That press conference will be between the days of August 31st and September 2nd.
Cooper tried to clarify whether Trump will deport undocumented immigrants who have not committed a crime.
âWeâre going to see what happens when we strengthen up our border.â Trump replied. "But there is a very good chance the answer could be yes. Weâre going to see what happens.â
At one point, Cooper pointed out to Trump that his comments reflect former Florida Gov. Jeb Bushâs immigration policy, noting that Bush was mocked for saying the U.S. cannot deport all undocumented immigrants.
âI donât know anything about Jeb Bush. He wasnât building a wall,â Trump said. He later added that he wants âto see whatâs going to happenâ and that he will "deport many people.â
âand just like that, the long awaited Trump pivot was killed.â
"Iâm just trying to be all things to everyone. Is that so bad?â
Heâs got 10 days until the Priebus deadline for taking a lead in the polls, right?
Letâs find out next Wednesday
OT, but he looks unwell in the picture.
More than usual I mean.
pretty much
and with that âpivotâ pretty much kaput, Conway must be feeling Sisyphean right now.
Trump is better at discombobulating his staff than taking on Clinton.
Well at least itâs more substantive than the GOPâs Obamacare replacement plan.
Hard or soft, thereâs just not a lot there.
When is your next class reunion? Youâre sure to be a huge hit.
mhmm
Though he was clearly unaware of it, Hannity was involved in a version of âgood cop/bad copâ this week. Maddow was the good cop as it relates to that Conway interview. Trump was stuck with Hanitty (bad cop) and though Sean was still Sean, Trump contradicted his manager on this subject.
This week was maybe one of a few opportunities for Trump to get âcongeniality pointsâ from the âjudgesâ (the undecided. soccer moms, etc), before the remainder of those groups opinions start to cement on who they want as president.
With the Cooper interview recap in the books, he has next week to be a âheroâ to those who are now handcuffed to him (Preibus), because Sept. 2nd is the start of the Labor Day weekend and the thought after that will probably be: will he make those debates? (He will)
Funny you should ask! I get flyers all the time for Trump University class reunions! Attendance requires a nominal fee. Sad to say, I lost all my money going to Trump University.
Hardening? Softening?
This guy has issues!
