Discussion: Trump Insists He Hasn't Changed View On The Wall After Kelly Says Otherwise

Ok Dump, I’m putting this in terms even your barely functional brain can deal with.

NO FUCKING WALL.

We are not spending $20 billion on a structure that will serve no purpose except as a monument to racism and jingoism and your NPD. It’s a confederate statue in wall form and no decent Americans will ever tolerate it.

A ā€œsee throughā€ wall, befitting an emperor with no clothes.

He has to support the wall because the only people who still think he’s credible are deluded enough to believe that a wall will help.
But the trade deficit…I don’t get it. Without creating crippling export or import duties, how would trade provide a source of revenue?

The Wall is the Wall, it has never changed or evolved from the first day I conceived of it.

And the Donald said, ā€œLet there be Wall!ā€
And it was the best!. Believe me!

Parts will be, of necessity, see through and it was never intended to be built in areas where there is natural protection such as mountains, wastelands or tough rivers or water…

Yes, but all stretches of the US-Mexico border that aren’t either desert, mountains, or the Rio Grande River will be walled, big league. You know, like that part in Florida.

What has Trump evolved from or to?

Kelly is a joke, a laughing stock, a racist bigot and spineless lying sack of shit.

I fail to see any reason for Congress to heed counsel from a Trump subordinate, for inevitably Trump disputes and repudiates that subordinate’s communications. Going straight to the source and speaking with Trump is equally fruitless, as he disputes and repudiates his own words and committments more easily than he does those of his subordinates.

NOW he insists he hasn’t changed his opinion on the wall. Wait five minutes and he’ll tell you that his thinking (if that’s what you want to call it) has changed. Wait five minutes more and he’s back to ā€œno change.ā€ And then…

A few years ago, my wife and I were at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. We were looking at the exhibit for Pink Floyd’s ā€œThe Wall.ā€ A young couple next to us asked each other: ā€œWhat’s ā€˜The Wall’?ā€
Very depressing.

So roughly half the country will not tolerate it.

Trump is actually a powerful argument against the Theory of Evolution. Or, perhaps, an argument that evolution can be reversed.

I try to repress any feelings of joy or satisfaction when a person I find loathsome and dangerous passes. Saddam, Gaddafi, Pol Pot, Timothy McVeigh, Mao, Nixon. They all died and when I heard it had happened I thought ā€œGood riddanceā€ but dancing on their graves wasn’t my first impulse.

For Trump I’ll make an exception. I think when he expires it will be a genuine cause for celebration. He’s a virus that has infected society with a perilous affliction. His grave I’ll dance on. I may even seek it out, the actual physical spot he’s interred, and if it isn’t guarded or otherwise blocked from access go there and do a jig, atop the bastard’s rotting corpse.

It might actually be an example of the Theory of Evolution. That is, the ability to con uneducated people who are frequently believers in some form or other in the existence of The Great Spaghetti Monster.

ā€œBelieve me, there’s nothing wrong with these tentacles.ā€

I was at a meeting in the Rio Grande Valley with a number of state and federal government agencies, including Border Patrol agents, about ten years ago concerning control of an invasive plant that was creating problems for water use and concealing illegal immigrants from the Border Patrol. Someone brought up the prospect of a wall in a sarcastic way and everyone broke out laughing, including the BP agents. Anyone who is familiar with the area knows better. If you build a 20’ wall, they will just get a 20’ ladder. It is like guerilla warfare, the workarounds anything that is done are cheap and easy and people under stress just get more creative.

Trump will have to make the export of ladders to Mexico illegal.
