I was at a meeting in the Rio Grande Valley with a number of state and federal government agencies, including Border Patrol agents, about ten years ago concerning control of an invasive plant that was creating problems for water use and concealing illegal immigrants from the Border Patrol. Someone brought up the prospect of a wall in a sarcastic way and everyone broke out laughing, including the BP agents. Anyone who is familiar with the area knows better. If you build a 20ā wall, they will just get a 20ā ladder. It is like guerilla warfare, the workarounds anything that is done are cheap and easy and people under stress just get more creative.
Trump will have to make the export of ladders to Mexico illegal.
