The ambassador’s residence was moved to another building near U.N. headquarters, but there’s been speculation since President Donald Trump took office that he might move it again to midtown Manhattan building that bears his family’s name.
Not so, Haley told Congress. She said she hadn’t picked her current location, but planned to stay there nonetheless.
“I’m not moving to Trump Tower,” she said.
Fun Fact: The Waldorf-Astoria was sold to the Chinese-government-controlled firm Anbang Insurance Group.
This is the same company that backed out of bailing out Kushner and his 666 Fifth Avenue white elephant when the deal became public knowledge.
Haley want’s to be President of the United States. The SOS position under Trump isn’t as visible as the UN Ambassador and is infinitely harder. She has a chance to polish her resume in her current job. As Trump’s SOS not so much.
While serving as governor of South Carolina, Haley backed then-presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and threw her weight behind Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) during the general election.
In all honesty, I didn’t think they were going to take me up on everything I asked for. And they gave me all that.
Oh good lord, all she asked for was to not be a rag doll sitting in the corner of the room, the fact she had to ask for her opinions to be taken seriously in the first place is insulting to any person. She groveled and she feels like she won the deal.
“I said, ‘I am a policy girl, I want to be part of the decision-making process,’” she said, telling CNN about her conversation with Trump. “He said, ‘done.’ And I said, ‘I don’t want to be a wallflower or a talking head. I want to be able to speak my mind.’ He said, ‘That is why I asked you to do this.’
Are you planning to exercise those privileges? Any time now would be good. You could start by pointing out that you were far from the only unqualified person that Trumpp appointed or tried to appoint.
