I didnât hear the whole sequence, but it doesnât look like Trump was pinned down on the question of whether he intends to comply with the court order. Thatâs the bigger issue. Instead, he got off his usual talking points about illegal, legal, border. He never addressed the plight of children.
This is not a winning issue for Trump. Democrats are fighting to unite families and are doing so with an intensity and a lack of concern as to political consequences. That demonstrates our values and it wins respect and votes.
