I hate to go into this but there’s some confusion about “boofing”–it seems more likely to be a reference to anal sex. You look at the lyrics to “Valley Girl” and there’s a reference to her English teacher, who’s “Mr. Bufu” and is obviously effeminate and so forth. You can probably imagine how the etymology would run with that to get to “boof.”
I actually did look it up. Google prompted me to “lahey drink” (note different spelling) and it turns out that the Urban Dictionary has an entry for “jim lahey special,” which refers to the Canadian whiskey a character in a Canadian show called “Trailer Park Boys” drinks a lot of. So as usual, the Dotard’s illiteracy got the better of him. I will refrain from commenting on the salience of “Trailer Park Boys” to the Dotard’s base.
This is all part of the Trump strategy - say Leahy has a Drinking problem … Mock Dr. Ford … constantly violate the norms of decency … just relentlessly abuse the standards of behavior to the point where the American sensibilities are totally trashed … and all of the attention is then drawn away from the critical issues.
In this vein, I’ve been wondering why we haven’t seen more about the “T&C” club that Kavanaugh was reported to belong to at Yale, whose motto was said to be “No means yes, and yes means anal.” Anybody know?

it does seem that there are some really toxic “immediate disqualification” items related to Kavanaugh that just have not been lobbed into the center of the arena …
Plus - it is like the whole country needs to pause and reflect for a moment … This is an appointment to the Supreme Court of the United States … after all that has been put on display, this raging, sputtering, accusation spewing disingenuous jackass clearly does not belong within 200 miles of the Supreme Court …
this is not a simply a highly conservative person who will seek to judge in accordance with the fundamental purpose of the court - this is a shrill raging partisan activist who will make decisions based entirely on political expediency - and what ever the right-wing agenda might be.

Criticism. That was not criticism. Just as trying to turn the tables on Leahy is not a valid argument to the issue. It is the same as Kavanaugh trying to turn the tables on Klobuchar. None of this is actually actionable. It ignores the issues and is an attempt to distract and confuse the situation. Get people arguing about this and not actually listen to the questions and responses.
