Trump is the ultimate Shrodinger’s candidate. He manages to occupy a political quantum superposition where he is simultaneously both for and against any given issue. His actual position at any given time will be observed based on the particular audience that sees him.
Maybe trumpf has been listening to people who have been in government and particularly in the legislative branch and is beginning to understand that a) this is a democracy of and by the people, and b) crackdowns on various groups he hates can only be done by legislation. By people who hate the same people he does.

I have a temporary ban idea that is just a suggestion until we find out how to reduce the 34,000 gun deaths annually (which is almost 34,000 more than those killed by Muslim terrorists): No guns anywhere until the NRA releases its grip on congressional balls long enough for Congress to pass a law funding no limit gun research so that we can find out what’s going on. How can those who support Trump and choose life possibly oppose this?
