This is completely loathsome on all sorts of levels, but could easily work for Trump, politically. There probably are lots of people on the voter rolls who shouldn’t be there. If an investigation shows that millions of such names exist, then Trump and his team will claim this as proof positive of his claim. That will be a test for the country and for the media.

…because the massive voter fraud is a much bigger deal than my campaign working with the Russians.

Something of interest, happen to catch this on NPR the other day. This comment kind of sums it up listen and enjoy:

" Hannah Seeger from Manhattan
How sad that NPR is giving air time to Mr. Sykes, who started out today with some arrogant and convoluted bluster, justifying the reason that he, an anti-Trump citizen of Wisconsin, voted for a third-party candidate and thus helped put Trump in office.

I realize that WNYC and NPR must be running scared about proposed NEA and NPR cuts, but giving a show to this foolish pundit and his snake-oil-salesman-like conservative views, strikes me as a dangerous step down that slippery slope.

As I indicated on another thread, this addresses a problem with voter registration rolls which are controlled by Secretaries of State. This really doesn’t suggest a problem with millions - or even hundreds - committing voter fraud. But, I doubt that he can discern the difference. This is also another excuse for more voter suppression because, you know, scary liberal black and brown people.

He can be goaded into anything.

Sadly, the report will be exactly as accurate as the Iraq WMD reports.

They’ll report how many dead people are on the rolls as if it were significant, as opposed to how many votes were cast using registrations of dead people.

“Evidence people have brought to him?”

“Things he pretends he saw on TV or the internet.”

Nonsense, purging means they can’t vote in the system.

A pointless investigation conducted by republicans that doesn’t need to happen that will drag on and on and on and cost us all millions of dollars that could be put to use on something much more productive? This sort of thing has never happened before! I’m shocked! SHOCKED I tell you! < /snark >

More waste of taxpayer money. When are these Republicans going to stop busting the budget with their fruitless “investigations?”

Obviously he is receiving information he trusts from unreliable sources. Not surprising If you look at the West Wing staff.

Something about Diebold machines, voter suppression, voter roll purges, gerrymandered districts,
deliberately limiting access to voting in historically Democratic areas? Sure, illegals are the problem.
Maybe Pat McCrory can head a task force—

I don’t care if there are dead people on the lists of registered voters. When each of my parents died, I made no effort to let the local registrar know about it.

But if dead people start showing up to vote, we should all be alarmed, because, zombies.
