Trump doing something stupid is no longer news. If he ever does something smart, THAT will be news.

Totalitarianism is a political concept of a mode of government that prohibits opposition parties, restricts individual opposition to the state and its claims, and exercises an extremely high degree of control over public and private life.

So it’s as @mattinpa says. We still have the right to vote, to gather and protest peacefully on the street or in parks or almost anywhere, to write critically of the occupant in cyberspace and in newspaper letters to the editors and elsewhere. Most importantly, we have a chamber of Congress which is majority Democrats.

China has timed the negotiation out perfectly. It is now planting season here. Farmers must decide how much to plant. Do they plant like last year and hope the China market reopens or that Trump has more hush money?

I wonder if a second day of 600-700 point drop in the stock market would get trump’s attention? Or would it take farmers driving tractors past the White House?

The combination of soggy fields delaying planting, $8 a bushel for soy beans and dropping corn prices, and senseless tariffs hammering American farmers makes for a really pointless planting season. Why plant if there is no reason to expect either a crop or a profit?

Somebody should tell DumDum that his base is 35%…not enough to keep him out of jail

Trump figured how to set up a short sale for all his golf buddies at once… call him stupid at your peril.

Just pleasing his Russian sponsor.

Trump’s re-election strategy: First secure the 40% that is going to vote for you anyway, then … hey where did the rest of them go?
