Discussion: Trump: I'd Raise Minimum Wage To $10 Though 'It's Not Very Republican'

“…I like the concept of NATO, but it’s obsolete because we don’t cover terrorism.”

I don’t know if he’s always that damn dumb or whether he occasionally feigns obliviousness. It’s probably a mercilessly frappéed combination of the two.

Enough indeed. Enough. I thought of this scene:

“But the thing is, Bill, let the states make the deal.”

If the states do it piecemeal, you Orange Horse-Fluffer, it wouldn’t be a Federal minimum wage.

“I like NATO”

Such a I-don’t-know-what-I-am-talking-about-but-I-say-anything response.

You need to help people, and I know it’s not very Republican to say.

I think he’s always had several screws loose but it’s been complicated with the onset of dementia. Either that or a brain tumor.

It doesn’t matter what this guy says he would do or not do, and anyone who is voting for him should be assured that Hillary is more likely to build the Great Wall of Mexico than Donald is. I still can’t believe anyone is taking him seriously.

Setting a federal minimum wage (that’s a living wage) is not “making the deal,” dickweed. It’s making sure that guys like you don’t keep screwing hard working Americans so that you keep getting more.

It–to me–points to the tremendous success of FOX, Talk Radio, the GOP Message Machine and the Permanent Conflict started by Newt Gingrich.

If I were white, I would feel enraged at the above for the dubious accomplishment of making ANY dealings with people of colour that much harder. A story: I was once in a southern state in the 1960s, because of a need to be with some relatives while my Dad was deployed on temporary duty. My Mom and I stayed with an aunt. The place was very racially segregated…and the etiquette was enforced. But there was none of the in-your-face, I’m-strapped-and-I’m-loaded-for-bear-and-hate-greasers-because-Rush-sez-so cycle of hate to deal with. I used to hang around a pool hall and I would play with guys who came in…that was it.

After blaring this broadcast hate for 20+ years, I would suspect that if Himmler came back, he would be the next Paul Ryan. Both look equally as creepy. In any event, there is no governing acuity necessary for being Republican for Trump’s new GOP. Just follow-the-leader.

When Chuck Todd asked him during the Republican primaries he said the states should decide the minimum wage.

I’m starting to think Trump supporters would go along with him if he embraced single-payer health care and swapped Pence for Jill Stein.

How do the states set a minimum federal wage? Does this person have any concept of how the government works?

Exactly. Especially since if the Federal minimum wage was abolished you know that at least some states would do away with the minimum wage altogether.
