Discussion: Trump: 'I Would Be The Best' President For Women

Discussion for article #239243

Because?

O The Donald, you left us hanging again. I can hardly wait to hear why you would be the best for as you so delicately described “the fat disgusting” women too.

If there was ever a communication organ that deserves to reap what it has sown, it is FOX.

With the enthusiastic support of the MSM, which is no longer a functioning Fourth Estate, FOX has created a fact-free “news” service, where frightened, bigoted, insular and xenophobic people (the best prospects for Propaganda) are fed non-stop a drivel of verbal filth packaged as “news”, rendering them as misinformed as serfs…

In this “news” environment, facts are secondary, dogwhistles primary and there is absolutely no way to stop someone (Trump) who has mastered what FOX has been promoting for years.

Never apologize
Always Double Down
Never Retreat
Provide Red Meat for the Base

To the Base, these attempts to “rein in” what is as addictive to the Base as crack cocaine is pathetic, as this amalgam of “analysts” struggle to contain the Godzilla it has created, nurtured and sold.

BEAT AT THEIR OWN GAME…

This latest Trump claim should poll well among Republican women, seeing as Republican women are rabid misogynists.

Lines from the 2016 campaign movie?

Media-Tell you what, we coulda had a good life together! Fuckin’ real good life! Had us a place of our own. But you didn’t want it, Trump! So what we got now is Brokeback Mountain coverage! Everything’s built on that!

FOX News benefited when it had Trump on its lightweight shows repeatedly and it benefited hugely on Thursday night It’s making big time money whether it supports Trump or bashes him. And Trump seems to be able to turn negatives into positives quite well.

So even though Murdoch doesn’t like Trump the candidate, he sees Trump is a moneymaker for his network.

But he isn’t their anointed candidate, and even if their anointed candidate (John Kasich) wins the nomination, Trump is going to be an albatross around the GOP’s neck in the long run because either Trump’s supporters won’t vote or the Democrats can use what he says to smear the GOP as extremists. Either way, in the long run, he could be bad for FOX News.

OMG please let Trump be the GOP nominee. That would be the best birthday/Mother’s Day, Christmas/Valentines Day present EVER.

Real estate mogul Donald Trump said Monday that he “would be the best for women” if elected President.

Trump went on to say “…just ask my ex-wives!”

LOL.
Oh, sure you are Donald.

I sure do like what you’re doing for Hillary.

Good JOB…KEEP IT UP DONALD.

Trump : “I would be the best President for keeping women in their place” —

How can a candidate who has never said anything substantive garner so much support?

Some examples:

“I will be the greatest jobs president God ever created” (I have nothing snarky to say other than there is a difference between running a company and running the U.S. government.)
“I will build a great wall - and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me - and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.” (He builds walls? Also, if Mexico is paying the check, why does it need to be inexpensive?)
"There’s nobody bigger or better at the military than I am” (what does that even mean? Btw, he has no military experience).
“I Would Be The Best For Women” (Well, that’s a given after the last 5 days. I mean, shutting down the government to force defunding of planned parenthood is a clear winner for women right?)

The Donald is still polling in first place. Ted Cruz, who helped shut down the government and continues to advocate doing so (as does Trump) is in 2nd place. And in 3rd place is Ben Carson, who also knows nothing about public or foreign policy, reads talking points as though he has no idea what they mean, and writes off torture as a political correctness problem.

The GOP is in serious trouble. But considering how money in politics and gerrymandering will make it insanely difficult for the Dems to retake the majority in the House (not in the Senate, we’ve got a good chance there), this is a problem for all of America.

Ailes, Murdoch and FOX will always make money. Its What They Do.

However, whatever “journalistic integrity” FOX has with the not-absolutely-nuts Republicans who still tune in is what they are doing some calculations on, Right now it is an issue of concern with them,

Trump and FOX News are already moving past last Thursday. They’re ‘friends’ again.
