Discussion: Trump: 'I Was Really Referring To Chicago' With Stop And Frisk Proposal

Republicans can not say enough bad things about Chicago. It was Benghazi before Benghazi was cool.

Of course, not that the slavering hordes will care.

They’re still unhappy that Jim Crow was ended. And that we can’t implement Ahmed El-Crow laws…

Chicago not being part of the US, it would be OK to stop and frisk there.

What are we stop and frisking for? It can’t be a gun as guns are legal and guns don’t kill.

As a Chicagoan, may I just say:

SCREW YOU, DONNIE!!!

You want to do something about the violence that tears my city apart and mercilessly takes its children??!! Tell your airhead running mate to go back to Indiana and sign legislation that would address the gun running that allows gang members to buy weapons in Indiana and use them in Chicago that same day.

Seriously, why isn’t this twit in negative territory with African-American voters in the polls??

Yes but when you have good guns in the hands of people with untrustworthy colored complections you gotta check intentions…

President Trump believes in Constitutional guarantees, but only in select areas of the country, on an ad hoc basis.

This was the big secret method for making Chicago safe in 2 weeks that he and the disgruntled Chicago PD people discussed.

Chicago is 468 officers shy of it’s goal at the moment. And given the animosity between the public and the coppers, you’d be hard pressed to find more than a handful that are willing to stop and frisk anyone. How about smiling and saying hello? Just a thought.

I should add that I had an odd encounter with a retired white copper recently here in Chicago. Just walking our dog and I was admiring his new porch. Brief conversation then-- out of the blue-- He was sure that a HRC presidency would lead to a terrible “police state” in which we no longer have any rights. So, tho he “hated to talk politics,” he had to tell me that he thinks “Trump has a lot of good ideas.”

One of which is making a white police state, it seems.

There were (and to a large extent, still are) numerous programs dedicated to reducing gun violence in Chicago.

Ask someone what happened to their state and city funding.

I think you’re missing the larger point he’s trying to make here. Chicago and NYC have vastly differing views on pizza (pro tip: Chicago’s is so very much better), so we can’t expect policing to be the same. Sure, he said stop and frisk worked great in NYC and would be even better in Chicago, but you can’t see the forest for the trees if you’re not looking at the pizza.

Donnie, the U.S. Constitution and due process apply to Chicago too. They are in America, you know?

Monday night can’t come soon enough.

And I’m only saying it should be done to non-whites.

See, that’s actually what should be the big take away from his Fox and Friends piece. He literally said, and I quote,

“They will stop, they will frisk, and they will take the gun away and they won’t have anything to shoot with”

In Trumpian fashion, he said this twice.

Donald Trump is advocating for using the government to seize people’s guns.

THAT’S the lead here.

I’m not from NYC or Chicago, although I did spend time visiting NY a few decades ago. But New York pizza is SO MUCH BETTER than that heavy bread from Chicago!
