Ms Palin weighed in with a fairly pithy (for sister Sarah) comment on CNN saying Ryan should be “Cantored” via a primary. And then she followed with period quality Palinspeak that I feel I should share for community amusement. To wit:

Ryan will safely win his district. Yes, he has a primary candidate that wasted no time this week in proclaiming his endorsement of Trump, but remember…Trump lost Wisconsin, by a healthy margin.
Ryan’s problems will start to manifest later this fall, and into early next year. He isn’t going to be able to produce a budget and is going to go right into the same pattern Boehner did…without the arm bending, head counting, skills that Boehner had. Plus he has already surrendered up all leverage the Speaker has over his own caucus.
So budget fight followed by government shutdown, which McConnell with have to reluctantly ride in and fix at the last minute…all while national campaigns are going on. (Yes, I know there is a framework that was put in place last year…but Ryan has already blown through the mandated appropriations bills for that, so its essentially null and void already). Ryan will become the scapegoat for the big losses in November…particularly the 10-15 seats in the House they will lose.
And the new year will start with a House election to replace Ryan…on that merry go round once more.
Rick Wilson’s opinion piece in today’s New York Daily News “On Donald Trump, never means never” states Trump isn’t “constitutionalist” enough and that’s one reason why Ryan and others are against Trump. As long as certain GOP members can buck the constitution as far as a Supreme Court nominee hearings are concerned that is.
