Discussion: Trump: I Was 'Being Sarcastic' About Asking Russia To Find Clinton's Emails

I confess that it is rare in nature to see a pure asshole–undiluted by compassion, intelligence, or humanity. Perhaps a future zoo exhibit?

There are no missing e-mails. FBI director James Comey said they where able to recover everything Clinton’s lawyers deleted. Trump is not only reckless,he is clueless.

How about that? The asshat realized he touched a third rail. Now it’s ā€œduck and coverā€ time.

No you’re being your usual self…a draft dodging coward and an asshole loser.

Trump is already on defense. And it’s still only July.

Is he really on defense? I’d say the polls show otherwise.
He never says the same thing two days in a row.
In a few days we’ll have an idea whether a naked appeal for treason hurts him in the polls.

Ryan’s ā€œresponseā€ is a disgrace. He’s supposed to be legit; he isn’t.

He’s more dangerous than obvious Trump.

Whenever a candidate is forced into saying, ā€œWhat I meant was…,ā€ he’s on defense.

He reminds me of a guy I once knew who threatened to kill me for some stupid reason, and after I called the police they told me he claimed he was ā€œjust kidding.ā€

Coming up with dumb excuses to cover ridiculous threats is a sign of mental illness IMO.

Dear TPM,
Why do I see the orange snarly blob every time I open your site?
Enough already.

It’s also typical of people in organized crime.

This is what pure incompetence, and narcissism looks like.

Trump honestly thinks he’s in the driver seat… And that Putin respects his puppets…

Trump is a textbook example of NPD. The problem is that low-information voters see it as ā€œconfidence.ā€

I think we’re becoming numb to the unreality of this all, and that’s highly dangerous. We are witnessing the normalization of the unthinkable, the equivalization of the outrageous. And these execrances from Trump, while malodorous, are presented as shiny bits – just the right size, each inconsistent one – for the kittens of our paper tiger press corps to be dazzled by, one and then the next and then the next. What’s the line, oh, yeah: Sad!

ā€œI’m not going to tell you what I’d do. Why would I tell you a thing like that? Wouldn’t that be crazy to tell you what I’d do? You react at the time,ā€ Trump said. ā€œPart of the problem with this country is they go and they say, ā€˜We’re going to do this, we’re going to attack here, we’re going to send this many men.’ No, no. You got to keep it a little bit secret.ā€

I find it disturbing that he’s doubling down on ā€˜I like to mix it up so that people won’t know what to expect from me (and so I can bluff my way through questions like this without giving an answer).’ We’re not North Korea or Uganda. We’re the United States. There shoujld be clear lines on if someone does something wrong, they will face consequences.

You can’t be a super power and claim unpredictability as your major foreign policy.

ā€œYeah, yeah, yeah. That’s the ticket. I was being sarcastic.ā€ Wasn’t this a character on SNL?

Sorry, you turd in the American punchbowl, you can’t take it back.

No you weren’t being sarcastic and all of your follow-up on how great Putin is just proves it.

And Don? It’s not weird to tell people what you would do in HYPOTHETICAL situations. This isn’t some fucking board game.
