“Contrary to Trump’s claims that the two never discussed the case or donation, Bondi’s representative Marc Reichelderfer told the AP in June that Bondi spoke with Trump “several weeks” before announcing that she was was considering the fraud case. The AP reported that the attorney general “personally solicited” the donation.”
Another of many lies the Donald has told. Where is that letter the NFL sent him? That video he described in vivid detail that he did not see of money being taken off a plane? Trump mistook people for pallets of money. Is there something wrong with his mind that he sees things that aren’t there?
Send a a genuine FEC employee with a Secret Service agent to have a short factual interview with Trump - if he lies about indisputable facts - treat him like Martha Stewart - nail his ass for lying to an official federal government employee.
Trump didn’t speak to Bondi about the lawsuit, but I would bet a check of his “people” and their phone records show lots of calls between the two offices before the “donation” and very few after.
He never spoke to her. She spoke, he just listened, and then cut a check. What a miserable liar! “I didn’t take any cookies,” say the six-year old, while brushing crumbs off his shirt. It would be really nice if this were front page news, but I’m not holding out hope for that to happen.
I could just echo what Kevin Drum said, which is also exactly what I and many others are thinking. Then again, why do that when he put it so well:
There have been an endless number of stories about “clouds” and “suspicions” and “questions raised” regarding donations to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. So far, though, there’s nothing even close to a smoking gun. Quite the opposite: the evidence so far suggests very strongly that nobody ever got anything for contributing to the Foundation.
But here we have a case that’s a mere hair’s breadth away from a smoking gun. There’s only the slightest wiggle room for believing that the events in Florida are all just a big coincidence. Maybe they deserve a little bit more front-page attention?
MSM: “Don’t bother us with a REAL SCANDAL!” "We have 30 more ghost-written stories from the Trump campaign to publish under OUR BYLINE about how “Scandalous” the Clinton Foundation is (and the payola is pretty good too!)
AG Pam Bondi personally solicited a campaign contribution from the man himself…Bondi spoke with Trump “several weeks” before her office publicly announced it was deliberating whether to join a lawsuit…about Trump’s real-estate seminars
Trump constantly reinvents reality to suit his purposes. The truth doesn’t matter. If it’s better for him not to have talked to Bondi about the donation, then that’s the new reality. He’s lied so many times about demonstrably provable things, this should come as no surprise.
And the media lets him get away with it. The media has consistently refused to keep asking the question and challenge him when he pulls this shit. They just “move on.”
