Discussion: Trump: 'I Just Don't Want A Poor Person' Running The Economy (VIDEO)

In other words, if you’re poor, you don’t deserve healthcare, education, or an opportunity at life. Sets up the secretive Trumpcare bill nicely.

It’s offensive and un-Christian, but entirely fine with his base.

And, by the way, how do we know Trump isn’t a “poor person”. Let’s see those tax returns.

In the Poverty of Character Department…A Rush no pre nup blockbuster:

4th Divorce For Rush - 6/21 - Conservative talk titan Rush Limbaugh’s fourth wife has been cheating on him with hunky young athletes - setting the stage for a $470 million divorce. Family insiders have exclusively blown the lid off the blockbuster scandal to RadarOnline.com, claiming the 66-year-old’s wife, Kathryn, 40, is currently two-timing the media motormouth with a married man. "Kathryn has bounced around with a bunch of guys - mostly athletes," the source claimed. Locally, Rush is heard from noon to 3 PM on WMAL, WCBM, and WFMD…

“I don’t want a poor person”

If you're a poor person that's been captured you're truly an incompetent reprobate.

I don’t want a poor person running the economy.

I had no Idea that Janet Yellen was in such a state of pecuniary embarrassment.

If you insist, I’ll do it

Was that directed to me? If you see the president, let him know that I insist.

Read it and weep. This is the Trump that his base loves. Piggish, idiotic and lots of other crappy things for sure. But words fail at the moment. The thinking is so bad here, and so devoid of any moral compass, only his evolutionary throwback supporters would give it a pass.

And by the way, fuck this miserable, overstuffed, 5th Avenue, iguana-brained swindler.

“I said because that’s the kind of thinking we want,” he continued. “I mean, you know, really. Because they’re representing the country. They don’t want the money. They’re representing the country.”

This is the appeal that the stupids fall for EVERY TIME.

Wealthy people should run the country because:

they don’t need extra money, they already have more than enough and
they know how to make money for themselves therefore they can make the country money

therefore, ergo:

they deserve to rule.

Trump - like a lot of people - thinks rich people are smarter.

We’ll have the usual outrage. We may even cite people that were not rich that have done good for the economy. But it doesn’t matter. Nothing matters. Because despite his racist past, his discrimination, himmaking fun of a disabled person, his grabbing by the pussy talk he was still elected. He’ll get a pass as usual. Because he’s…new.

Get him out.

The chair of the Federal Reserve pays orders of magnitude less than any person with that kind of resume can get in the industry. It even pays less than some professorships. So you have to take the job either out of a sense of public service or as an investment.

Yes, and ergo, HE is smarter. The smartest ever. He’ll get a pass because he’s not governing (see his comments about he “hopes” the new healthcare bill is not as mean; see troop increase in Syria, etc.) and has become irrelevant to the GOP and their plans to destroy the country (continuing plans, that is).

Trump’s new campaign slogan… “HOOH HOOH HOOH” and we all know what that means… go on, take the money and run.

is that anything akin to a “blah” person?

A Brand New Congress full of poor folks would fix what ails us instantly.

Good point. What we’ve seen so far is not convincing. Certainly not the $10B he claimed and that gross income was meaningless without the expenses.

[/quote]And they also, like Trump, will make even more money for themselves by using their government positions to implement policies that help the rich at the expense of the middle class and poor (see: American Health Care Act tax cuts for rich; HUD budget cuts, except for businesses that Trump profits from; gutting business regulations to increase owner profits while endangering workers and the community).

Okay…I think his logic is that rich people know how to make and keep money.

Lot’s of problems with this, the biggest are these:

  1. Most of the richest people in America have inherited at least their starter funds, if not the whole kit and caboodle. (Donnie, I’m looking at you…the one who inherited a butt load then lost it and had to be bailed out by the Russians…but I digress)
  2. A government is NOT a business. Governments are not created to make a profit.

Indeed. I believe Yellen’s husband is worth 13.4 mil and she may be worth around 4 mil. My point was that Yellen may have as much or more influence in running the economy than the Secy’s of Commerce and Treasury.
