Of the 2017 Penguins, the forwards are 4/14 American. The defense is 5/8 American. The two goalies are non-American. So that’s 9 out of 24 players that are even US-born. But I reckon they can be “incredible patriots” to whatever country they’re from.
They can be American patriots even if they’re not Americans. Just like Putin is.
Well, at least 36% (8/22) are actual “wonderful patriots”, assuming those 36% agree wholeheartedly with Trump.
(next time Trump should pick a sport where 2/3 of the athletes are foreigners he would like to ban).
Calling a hockey team by the name of a football team seems kind of odd. I suppose US hockey teams do play against Canadian teams sometimes so these players might somehow be considered patriotic …at least to Trump? He could have at least dyed his CombOver black like a hockey puck in honor of the celebration.
