Iāve been tough on the headline writers here in the past. But āTrump hits Rand Paulā is the kind of pleasant, positive image that will help get me through the day, at least until itās time for the Friday afternoon Newsbomb that I hope awaits.
The image also inspires me to picture āRand Paul supporter stomps %^&&* out of Trumpā,enhancing the positive effect.
Well, it has to be Trump vs. Obama or the Republicans vs. Obama. Gotta be personal for the media story line, and for the Republicans to sell their piece of crap. It absolutely cannot have to do with the substance of the matter, the availability of health care the Republicans want to take away fro tens of millions, or the lives that are at stake. That would be too real and not fit the meme that must be preserved. Besides, they used that reality story all spring and summer. And even though thatās still the story, gotta move on to the new season - no time for reruns now.
ETA: Although, for Trump it probably is more personal against Obama, since Trump has little understanding what the ACA does or what the various versions of the Republican bills do. All he knows is āRepeal and Replaceā gets applause and that the black President made fun of him at the WH Correspondents Dinner.
If Rand is known as the Republican who saved Obamacare, that will be the best compliment heāll ever get.
I expect weāll see der Furor tweeting a .gif of him as a golfer hitting a drive into Rand-o.

Iām going to guess at this point that any Senator who opposes a bill to repeal ACA is already aware that Trump would prefer he or she vote otherwise. He keeps hurling these tweets like Jovian thunderbolts in a silent film, seemingly unaware that the Senators in question have already weighed all these considerations before announcing how theyāll vote because thatās what they do for a living. Heāll be marched away in chains before he ever figures that town out.
