Price should be in jail for insider trading, stock manipulation, and abusing his office. He’s every bit as treacherous and worthless as DeVos, Sessions, Pruitt, Perry, Tillerson … I would list them all but I don’t know if Price will let me keep my insurance to cover the treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome.
Don’t worry, homeopathic aromatherapy will fix your problem.
Do you know how expensive it is to prepare homeopathic scents and aromas?! Good thing insurance will cover it.
Face it folks…
THE PRICE IS…WRONG!
Maybe back at one of those conservative think tanks a researcher did the math, e.g. bring in the population externality, cost of technology in improving productivity, cost of skilled human labor, cost of improving human capital, cost of keeping humans not in the labor pool alive, etc. and decided that the price of meat had gone down? So die young, die fast, and make sure you’ve given your credit card information before your departure. In the old system of occupational health, the idea was to keep people active and participating in work and life. Now humans can be obsolescent, not skilled enough or uncompetitive with machines. That includes blue-collar and white-collar professions. And it may be gender and race-blind (a subset of the current discussion on death by despair of low-education white males). If tax reform is the next big challenge and Trump’s plan is to let the ACA “explode”, somebody in Congress should take up the response of stopping further devaluation of our citizenry and impart some sense of stability.
The decisions that Price makes which are not ACA friendly should be challenged in the courts hopefully putting enough pressure on the administration to follow the law and enforce it. We need to keep reminding the red state trump supporters what their options are.
I expect the Essential Health Benefits will be among the first things he tinkers with. Let it be transparent. Very, very transparent.
What Trump Admin folks (his farthest right hands) have laid bare to the public - outside of the safe world of Fox News and other RW media bubbles - is how decadent the right has become with regards to wanton disregard for the health and financial security of most citizens in the effort to free up Billions for the wealthy. First in the obscene Budget, then in the negotiations over Repeal and Replace that left many in Congress (even in the GOP) aghast. Dare we call these efforts misanthropic, or even sadistic?
Any move Price makes against the ACA needs to be studied and pushed into the public discourse - as this is who and what the modern republican party is and how (un)seriously they take the lives and well-being of the majority of the population.
The Democratic Party needs to get off its ass and finally, for the first time, engage in a concerted and focused campaign specifically designed to inform the populace about the continuous Republican sabotage of the ACA that began before Obama even put down the pen.
Price is among the most dangerous secretaries of the Trump cabinet. The smirk on his face tells us all: he’s in it for himself and doesn’t care about ordinary people. He should resign and take his millions into retirement.
“There are less obvious ways that the administration could affect the Affordable Care Act’s success, and it won’t be immediately clear if any downsides to those decisions were the result of incompetence or malicious intent.”
Can there be malicious incompetence?
That smirk, I know. In every photo he is standing behind rump smiling as if he is infatuated.
" First do no harm" is what every physican is taught in medical school, mostly from day one. Some physicians never learn that simple ethic. Tom Price is one such morally challenged physician. He is the kind of physical who would sterilize the febble minded, or inject black men with stds. He is the author of Trumpcare, a bill designed to inflict maximum damage on poor and elderly sick people.
So what do you think Dr Tom is going to do?
Price = Lousy Person. Lousy Doctor. Lousy Cabinet Secretary.
There’s no doubt that Trump and Price will try to sabotage Obamacare, and there is much that they can do that will hurt. The question is whether Democrats can make it clear to the public–starting now, not in 2018 campaign–that it is the administration and the Republican Party, not Democrats, who are to blame.
You are too kind.
With an emphasis on “among”. Tillerson is the big question mark globally. He was supposed to be the adult in the room, yet our embassies around the world are in chaos, the machinery of state has ground to a halt as we wait for some big announcement in early April, and he has let the soft power side of things go fallow. And there is gag on state department employees commenting on any of this, so pretty much no news on this.

Off-topic, but Trump is a dead ringer, in that photo, for Boris Yeltsin, dotage-period. There’s no way that Trump is a tea-totaller. It might not be drinking, but his is a system clearly awash in unwholesome chemicals.
It looks like he is fantasizing on how he might help Trump’s hairdo retain its stuck-together helmet quality…and not with hairspray but some of Tom’s “secret sauce.”

[/quote]This is key. It may be difficult or impossible to stop Trump and Price from doing what they can do administratively, but it has to be made clear that they are taking specific, intentional, malicious steps to “explode” the ACA and keep Americans from getting health care, so hopefully their efforts will have the same effect as this guy would have …
