The campaign staff was on a tight deadline, and a CGI tech couldn't be located fast enough to enhance Trump's hand size.That is really all there is to it. If just one of them had had the foresight to show footage of him strutting and preening to adoring crowds, with an inset or layover showing a graph labeled “economy” showing a red arrow bursting out of the boundaries, he would have not only loved it, he would have fought tooth and nail to have it played on every TV station several times a day. The fact that a graph labeled “economy” would be utterly meaningless doesn’t matter. It’s the optics, people – we want RATINGS!
