Don’t worry, I’m sure we will be hailed as liberators. /s

See, that’s what happens when you mix up your Latin and your Greek.

Any new Fed nominee would need confirmation by the Senate, who would be facing political headwinds, as would Trump, and backlash over the political wisdom of ousting a Fed chair and reaping the economic instability of roiling financial markets.

Financial markets raised the prospect of a July rate cut to 100% yesterday from the 80% range last week. The Trump organization’s primary justifications for rate cuts have been either false (unemployment rates are still too high) or manufactured (trade risk to economy). The reality is that Trump believes lower rates will guarantee reelection and all the pressure he and his admin are exerting on Fed governors is only for the purpose of helping him win. Look at it this way, the president demands that the Fed essentially to give away money in order to help him win reelection. The economy will be damaged by this far more than American’s realize and Trump could care less.

I agree with everything you say.

Gasoline lines, which we had again here in NYC after Sandy and the other Hurricane we had back to back years. OPEC. The price of gasoline. My long suffering Dad asking me why the hell I could not ever fall in love with a woman from San Juan instead of halfway across the island I had to drive his car to visit 6 days/evenings a week.

But people would not “feel” in their pocketbooks the effects of a short-term market surge. Most people don’t have money in the market.

How the hell does he do that after the man is installed? I am so sick of this ignorant asshole acting like he’s a king.

So there’s still hope for Steven Moore then?

We cannot live in eternal fear. Get rid of the bad. Powell bad. Fed corrupt and political.

But - DT the great genius decided she was too short to be able to do the job she had been doing (to much praise) for 4 years.

Maybe he’d prefer to appoint Yao Ming?

Some say that the current US sanctions regime against Iran was an act of war.

How many of them even understand how their actions could lead to these outcomes? Tax cuts are supposed to reduce the deficit in Repub economic “thought”. Conservatism cannot fail; it can only be failed.

If Trump does replace Powell, expect yet another “Acting” chairperson. This will take us one more step closer to becoming the “banana republic” dictatorship you mention. Trump is surrounding himself with “acting” lackeys who only bow to him and feel no accountability to Congress or, much less, the people. This is a very, very dangerous situation.

Donald on the other hand, just blows.

I honestly think they’re timing it to start after Labor Day. I’m just spitballing, but that’s my guess.

I hope we aren’t at war by then.
