I suppose this is Trump’s way of saying he believes we have no abiding national security, economic, or political interest in Syria, or possibly by extension, the Mid-East region. Unfortunately, he bases this belief on absolutely no knowledge of the area or it’s history. If he’d bother to consult with the Pentagon or State Department or any of a number of experts available to him (and no, not Jared), I think they would disabuse him of this notion. And if saving soldier’s lives and money are the main considerations, why are we still helping KSA bomb the bejusus out of Yemen?

It could be argued that pulling out of Syria may save the lives of soldiers, but it most certainly will not save Billions of dollars, that money will just be poured into a different military money pit. And then we’ll up the military appropriation some more on top of that.
This is enjoyable and nice to see Lindsey getting exactly what he deserves.
