Discussion: Trump Gives Shout-Out To Paul Ryan's Primary Opponent

Lab rats are studying the GOP so they know exactly what to do the next time the lab tech forgets to feed them for a week.

Really makes you wonder why Ryan doesn’t have the cojones to disavow Trump, doesn’t it?

Now, does Ryan have the balls to respond?

Nope, Trump has them in a crystal beaker on his mantle.

If Trump is counting on the support of everyone who agrees that Gold Star families should be mocked and criticized, he should get about 15 or 20 votes in the election. Total!

It would really be something if Ryan NOW disavowed the monster. Attacks on veterans, Muslims, Latinos, women, blacks, disabled, immigrants, on and on and on…NADAH! But a bow to his primary opponent–THAT would get him. That’s why I can’t see him doing it now.

Cause they want the whitehouse back

Unlike Trump, he (Nehlen), has also challenged the House speaker to an arm-wrestling match.

How much longer before we bring back “trial by combat”?

These people are barking.

This Paul Nehlen:

When asked about this lack of evidence that Blue Skies Global LLC actually operates as a small business, a Nehlen campaign spokeswoman provided contradictory answers.

“Blue Skies is a side gig, doing mostly pro bono work at this point to help build businesses,” she said, but in an email to News/Talk 1130 WISN added that “Blue Skies doesn’t charge for service yet. They help others grow.”

So has Nehlen never charged his clients? Or has he charged some clients, as indicated by the phrase “mostly pro bono work?”

And who exactly are those clients? The Nehlen campaign refused to name any of them.

“Companies insourcing from other countries or utilizing Nehlen’s sourcing network and skill set, developed through almost 30 years of manufacturing and engineering experience, don’t need to advertise for him, or him for them,” the campaign said in an email. “Their growth is the only gratification Nehlen wants or needs, so the client list remains private.”

As for how those clients would ever be able to contact Blue Skies Global LLC since it does not have a publicly accessible phone number, email address, or physical address, the campaign said “Nehlen isn’t actively soliciting new business at the present time."

“When he hears of someone who needs a hand, he lends it to them as best he can, or directs them to someone he personally knows who may be able to help.”

“Nehlen essentially only does word of mouth right now. He works with those he knows.”
In other words, Blue Skies Global LLC appears to be nothing more than Nehlen giving business advice to his friends. It is a small business with no employees, no revenue, no tax filings, and no clients that the Nehlen campaign wished to identify.

A March Marquette Law School poll showed that Ryan had a 81% favorable rating among Republican and Republican-leaning voters in the 1st congressional district. Another poll released on May 12, 2016 by the Remington Research Group showed Ryan leading with 78% to Nehlen’s 14% among likely 2016 Republican Primary Election voters.[25] On May 27, 2016 a Washington Free Beacon poll found Ryan leading Nehlen by 73% (80% to 7%) among Republican primary voters in the district.

Trump's political instincts are so lame. He attaches himself to a challenger to the Speaker of the House that is going to get pasted in the primary. And the guy runs a business that seemingly has as much legitimacy as some of Trump's ventures.

The GOP needs to re-brand itself.

Perhaps?

Barking mad, yes. Both they and Drumpf are feeding on the malevolence of this whole deranged campaign and each are being further radicalized.

I DO wonder. Ryan can’t support Trump without getting some of the blowback all over himself. Just look at Chris Christie…

Where is Christie these days? I haven’t seen any report about him.
It has to be galling that instead of him, complete morons are representing Trump on news shows.

I heard he’s doing the evening pizza runs for the Trump campaign…

Thanks for that. Certainly smells like week-old roadkill.

Similarly, Katrina Pierson used to be nearly as ubiquitous Trump as far as mentions for idiocy on her nightly cable news rounds. I don’t watch the shows, just read about the subjects discussed later elsewhere. Where has Pierson been? Still around?

Does Paul Ryan have moral and political courage after an incident like this? Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick…

This is ODD. Trump needs Ryan to provide the illusion of legitimacy, yet he sides with Ryan’s opponent.

Odd.

We’ve said it before: Ryan thinks he’s gonna come out of this just fine in '20 by presenting himself as a loyal Party supporter AND as the voice of moderation and reason. Neither of these things will help him as the GOP base becomes more and more unhinged and regional.

Don’t look now, Paul: the dignity wraith is behind you.

So, Paul, now that Trump has finally crossed the line of implicitly endorsing your primary opponent, how long before you withdraw your endorsement of Trump?

You’ve already lost a lot of face by letting Trump dominate you first. Your only face-saving play is to explicitly withdraw your endorsement before Trump explicitly endorses your opponent; or you let Trump get there first while you look like a complete, craven, beaten, humiliated suck-up who got betrayed by his party’s de facto leader after selling out your self-respect for an illusion of party unity that Trump rejects.

Your call, Paul.
