He believes his own bullshit.

Trump will claim credit for everything that happens, unless it is bad. Then it is Obama’s fault. NATO members paying more of their dues, which was in the works long before Trump made an ass of himself and put in doubt the full faith and credit of the US, was of course due to the pressure Trump put on them. Obama being a natural born citizen would never have been known had Trump not so generously pushed for Obama to show his lon-form birth certificate. I’m expecting Trump will take credit for the Mosul offensive soon.

The sad part is his followers swallow this hook line and sinker.

I’ll ask the obvious question: If they were going to move the Lincoln line to Mexico in order to make more Escapes, and now the Lincoln line is staying at the Kentucky plant, where will the extra Escape production be located? Pretty sure Ford would not just let real demand go unmet.

When the U.S has a president who gets three or four Pinocchios nearly every day, that will make America great again.

Hmm is it too early to start demanding FOIs from TEAM TRUMP? Or does he have to be sworn in first?

It’s the “Constanza”’ theory of lying; “It’s not a lie, as long as you believe it.” My question is, how does he convince others that he is a “truth teller”?? I guess confirmation bias is a real thing. As I have observed, Idiocracy has become a documentary; I’m going to add The Grifters and House of Games to that list.

This sort of thing is a big problem. All Trump has to do is to spout self-serving lies that will be disseminated on the rightwing fake news media, and that will be that. What can be done about it? Well, for one thing: every time somebody loses a job in Ohio, WI, PA, MI --fuck it, anywhere in the US–it should be reported, because Trump promised that it wouldn’t happen and now it has. “Lawnmower parts factory closes in Fuckface Ohio, 40 jobs lost. Trump stands by.” There should be a bad news database that keeps pumping out every piece of shitty economic news. I’m deadly serious. We are in an information war.

I suspect by now every wideawake influential person in this country who isn’t a raving wingnut understands that the President-elect is crazy. The question is what they intend to do about it. We’ve seen the GOP reaction so far.

Trump continues to lie about easily disprovable things just because he can, with little negative consequence. His minions will believe him no matter what the facts are, and the rest of us assume he is lying all the time. It’s a win for him since he gets credit from 45% of those paying attention and he can think highly of himself since he believes his own bs.

When Trump supporters cheer a 35 percent tariff on goods coming from Mexico, who do they think will actually be paying that tariff?
Like a construction contractor in North Carolina said about the reason 70 percent of construction work is done with immigrant labor in the South; Pedro will work hard all day for twelve dollars an hour, Billy is going to want twenty four and not work as long or hard. I’m not an economist, but I suspect costs will skyrocket if they are all deported. Also, can’t wait to see the Trump supporters lining up for the field jobs like picking strawberries.

Just a matter of time before MSM fact check fatigue sets in and they meekly submit to the post-truth worldview in search of ad revenue.

And so it begins…

I am going to call Ford and Lincoln today and tell them something to the effect:

“President Elect Trump has repeatedly lied to the American people for nearly a year and a half. Today he has claimed that he personally convinced Bill Ford to stop a move of a Kentucky plant to Mexico. Those of us who believe in facts are concerned about propaganda and I ask that the Ford Motor Company correct the record immediately. I will be watching companies who are complicit with the spread of misinformation.”

I don’t want to threaten a boycott but can anyone suggest a different approach?

It doesn’t matter what he says. Our corrupted press will continue to give him pass after pass just like they did to Pruneface Reagan, Old Fart Bush and Dumbya!

And the liars in the mainstream press are going back to being the good little puppies they were under Dumbya!

You know, it’s much deeper. It’s not limited to the rightwing fake news media. See the below devastating twitter thread.

I wrote about this in the past, @jloomis3. He has no attachment to any reality but his own. This was happens to many a child born into means. We see this phenomena time and time again in the mental health field. Many of our finest sociopaths are born into wealth. Furthermore, I grew up in the middle class of an affluent Jersey suburb. I went through school with some of these individuals. These were kids, who I found out years later, routinely forced themselves on girls who rejected their advances…also known as rape. What I can’t understand, is how or why “working class” white people are attracted to these sorts. First, Dubya and now Trump. Maybe it’s a form of projection, that they see what they should be in those two men? What I mean is, they see what white people should be, because they perceive them as “better”? I haven’t worked that part out yet, and would love to hear yours, or anyone else’s take on it.

Anyway, I just got dizzy again…the fact that we have four years of this bullshit. God, if you exist, we can really use your help here.
