When the White House has accomplishments, I am sure the news media will cover them. But in the meantime, Trump’s unhinged Twitter rants are sucking all of the attention away from any accomplishments that might happen, however unlikely.
And, of course, it asks the question:
if its “fake news” why would he care because, it’s - yannow, fake?? What is supposedly “fake” for one thing doesn’t get to be less so for his imaginary achievements.
What if the media quit covering Trump’s tweets? Not gonna happen, I know. But it would be the end of him.

Everything I’ve seen says this is absolutely true. He rampages around in a fury, and everyone’s scared to give him a particle of bad news on top of what he’s already freaking over.
I’ve seen a couple suggestions today about the term “forced” meaning something sinister. But it could simply be he truly believes he’s running a super-successful administration and at some point the entire media world will have to throw up its collective hands and admit it, because it’s so obvious to everyone. I have this conversation with smart liberal types all the time. They think it’s all calculated and planned. And I keep saying you have to imagine a person who’s really that nuts. Because he is.

Agreed. Plenty of people are calculating around him, but he seems to be like a giant lizard brain reacting on instinct and damaged psyche. It really is sad, but it’s hard to have empathy for somebody purposefully wreaking so much havoc.
Trump said journalists will be “forced” to cover positive White House accomplishments…
And when it happens, Chuck Todd (et al.) will say, “That’s when he really became President.”
