Grumpy , stop being a Dickhead ALL your life . Take a day off now and again .
“***Not fair to public!***”
C’mon, Donnie, you’ve said it before. Say it again, louder: “They’re the enemy of the people!” Some goober is bound to kill a reporter given a couple more nudges.
ETA: Your pal Erdogan knows how to deal with the pesky press - show some strength.
This is where the rubber hits the road with Trump. Most of his antics, we all laugh or cry and the Trumpeteers all cheer. I keep reassuring myself “as long as we have the press we’re ok”. But if he succeeds with any aspect of censorship, it is the first step to dictatorship. Every decent patriotic American must actively oppose this. I don’t care what political orientation–if you are a patriot and you love the USA and its constitution, you must help stop this crazy talk from becoming reality.
As someone on NPR pointed out yesterday, just imagine what the headlines would look like if Obama had threatened such things about Fox News’ reporting about his administration.
Putin, too.
@jwbuho For sure. What was I thinking? Only halfway into my first coffee.
A lawsuit filed Tuesday alleges that Fox News Channel, a wealthy Republican Party donor, and the White House collaborated on the creation of a story about slain Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich that quickly fell apart after it was published in late May. The suit even claims that President Trump reviewed the story before its release and wanted it published “immediately.”
Many people are troubled by Trump’s behavior. Some are angry, depressed, concerned. These emotions have disrupted their lives. So, naturally they feel Trump is causing them emotional harm and distress.
You have friends, co-workers, neighbors and relatives responsible for putting Trump in office. They, too, are the cause of all the same negative thoughts and emotions Trump is causing you to feel. Are you also angry with them? Do you wish they’d just go away? Do you think they’ve also failed, let the country down, and represent a danger to the republic?
They have, and are. Go ahead, fault Trump. But it’s the people you know, work with, and love that are dangerous.
Telling P.R. to fuck off this morning as well. I think the rough beast has finished slouching …game time approaches.
I guess Cockholster still hasn’t received the memo: the FCC only licenses individual broadcasters, not networks.
Besides, if he got his wish and networks could only broadcast the “truth” he’d lose his beloved FOX & Friends, his sole source of national and international policy advice.
Sheesh, he gives even the dumbest of nimrods a bad name.
He is already controlling free expression:
A white racist male President threatens and bullies the white male NFL commissioner to instruct the 96% white male NFL team owners to force their black employees to stand during the playing of a song written by a white racist male.
Land of the free and home of the brave, indeed.
Here’s a handy list …
-
Donald Trump isn’t Goddell’s boss, guys like Jerry Jones and Bob Kraft (both Trump confidants) are.
-
Shad Khan isn’t a white male.
While our attention is being focused on his war against NBC and the networks, he is trying to build a case to walk away from Puerto Rico.
Mark Zuckerberg and Google will be sure the appropriate names of malcontents get on the list. You know, the list that becomes part of your permanent record.
This whole Puerto Rico disaster is unconscionable. If there is justice, MSM is going to put this front and center again.
No, but we can keep them in Afghanistan until hell freezes over.
The FEMA director said just yesterday that “distributing food and water [in Puerto Rico] isn’t FEMA’s job.”
This has got Mueller damage control written all over it. He’s not thinking it through–the newspapers are beating him up too, is he going to sue them, form Truth Squads to roust Bezos, or what?
However bad off we are, we’d be worse off if he wasn’t so inept.
