This is just like the subsidies.
With a wave of the hand, they can sweep away what has become their own roadblock to the enforcement of a District Court judgment that gives them exactly what they said they wanted.
They wanted it when they were the opposition and the Democrats owned ACA, that is.
But now they own ACA. And if they let this judgment take effect, it will be just like the ACA subsidy judgment they somehow don’t want any more.
The Republicans have set themselves up to function only as the opposition party, where they can destroy anything and own nothing.
Destroying what you own, on the other hand, turns out to be kind of a problem.
Who knew?
Here’s a wall I would support rebuilding… using the Constitution plans.
The weird twist in this lawsuit is that Baptists never used to be opposed to contraceptives.
…until they got Evangelized / and ate too much RabidFox and Toxic Tea.
”The groups say that even filling out the form asking to opt-out of covering the contraceptives – and thus triggering the process through which their employees receive the coverage elsewhere – is a form of complicity in forms of birth control to which they have religious objections.”
Thomas Paine: “The whole religious complexion of the modern world is due to the absence from ancient Jerusalem of a lunatic asylum.”
Not to worry. Jeffey is on the job. Soon there will be a bun in every oven. 'Cause Jeffey knows what’s best for everyone.
Who has not yet learned that a campaign promise from the Orange Shitgibbon is “…not worth the paper it’s printed on”? (With a tip of the hat to Mr. Goldwyn.)
Effective Contraception = Fewer Abortions. what am i missing?
Women having recreational sex.
They need to consult with Ivanka…according to her, “complicity” is a much higher bar to clear than just filling out a form.
Shorter Sessions: we want the case to be ruled on by the Supreme Court, now that it once again has a far right majority. Why drop the case?
So how would this actually work? Because unless the court or congress gets rid of the mandate for contraceptive converage, women have the legal right to get it as part of their coverage. I’m assuming the bible-thumping pro-dead-women faction wants all insurance policies by default to not have coverage, so that their feefees won’t be hurt by saying “no”. But even Sessions knows that that is unlikely to fly with a court, and would trigger a very loud countersuit.
So what do the crazy people actually want?
…or abortion.
The part where no one is supposed to be using contraception because doing so means that women are sluts who are going to hell.
Effective Contraception = Fewer Abortions. what am i missing?
Oh, but see, you have to reach the result via the “right” path! It only counts if the vehicle delivering that outcome involves denying basic truths of human nature and disowning human sexuality.
