Trounce can’t get the hand shaking thing down, who would expect him to be able to do international diplomacy?
Trounce on auto-pilot is a smooth running ship but once the need for intelligent input is required or courage or basic decency, he fails really very big, super big in fact.
I wonder if trump realizes that Duterte is a self confessed murderer and is very proud of that fact.
Malcolm Turnbull and trump held a presser today and even though they were in a joking mood Turnbull corrected trump about the supposed trade deficit we have with Australia. It’s actually a surplus that’s rather substantial. Nothing like having a president conversant with actual fact.

That was astonishing. NPR said something to the effect that Turnbull was “fact-checking on the spot”. Something that is needed with every utterance from donnie.
I would like to point out the sort of person trump is sharing the “good times” with:
Duterte is in reality a guy who would (and self admittedly has) “shoot some one on 5th ave and not lose any voters”.
The optics of a president of The United States hobnobbing with a goddamned murderer are not that good. But will the media make a point of this? I think not. But I will.
