And I would never embarrass the President in turn by saying publicly he has a twisted child’s fascination with sadistic murderers and ought to be in therapy in an institution, not in the fucking Oval Office. So we’re all polite, it’s very nice.

And also, I think Trump is a coward who shrinks during direct confrontation–during primary debates, in Flint Michigan, in tete a tetes w leaders of France, China, Russia, Philippines–never fear, though, he can make it right w a series of retroactive tweets once he is returned to the safety of his toilet throne.
And the thing is that even relatively friendly world leaders, relatively friendly to the U.S. at any rate, will take advantage of someone who’s weak like Trump. They’ll seek mutual benefits if they can but ultimately they’re paid to advance their own nation’s interests with consideration of anyone else, allies or not, secondary. So we lose all around.

Run for office- the 2018 elections are less than a year away! And if Trump and Louie Gohmert can get elected what’s to stop a qualified candidate?
Become a Precinct Committee Officer, sometimes it’s a Ward officer. You’ll meet with neighborhood Dems and get out the vote. Find good citizens willing to run for office.
Register people to vote. If you need to help people overcome the GOP-led Voter run-around help them do that.
Run for School Board. Make sure Civics is being properly taught. Think a majority of America knows how government works? Just 26% of eligible voters in America voted for Trump and half of eligible voters stayed home last November. Today’s 12-year olds will be voting for President in 8 years.
Run for Mayor, City Council, County Commissioner, Borough Assembly.
Get appointed to your Planning Commission. Know everything going on in your community.
Run for State Legislature or Congress. The next census is in 2020, just over 2 years from now, then we’ll redraw Congressional Districts. Get rid of GERRYMANDERING! Safe GOP seats gave us such intellectual giants as Louie Gohmert and Steve King. In most cases it’s the state Legislature that draws Congressional boundaries. Make it FAIR, OPEN and HONEST!
Overturn Citizens United. Money is NOT speech and Corporations are NOT people- at least not until Texas executes one.
Overturn any voter ID laws that are clearly an attempt to disenfranchise.

Both of these assholes are headed for ignominy. I’m sure Duterte’s will come soaked in his blood and Trump’s in ridicule and dwindling wealth. No President I can remember would sit down next to Duterte. They’d bypass him and scorn him publicly. Yet here is our President cozying up with a man that admitted just days ago he committed murder at age 16. A man that put in place policies that indemnified murder resulting in thousands of them.
I wonder how the opiated deplorables feel about the notion of extrajudicial murder of anybody even tangentially related to illegal drugs.

No, in a word. I’ve seen a lot of bad decisions in real life and read about cataclysmically bad ones in history. But there’s never been a mismatch of responsibility and ability like this that I can imagine outside of a hereditary leadership situation.
