So, these tweets are more evidence of what we kind of knew already - the term āfake newsā has no particular meaning other than it is something that sounds good to Trump and his followers and is only meant to question something he doesnāt want us to know about or doesnāt want to admit. It applies to witnessed events, photographic evidence, anonymously sourced stories, official documents, etc. Iāve come to the conclusion that it is a catch-phrase he uses because his vocabulary is too limited to express whatever it is a more intelligent or less mentally deranged person would say in the same situation.

Our President is a fool. It is possible that as a fish out of water (remember how isolated he was in various photos from informal breaks between talks, when others would be standing and visiting), went over to Putin because he wanted his (Trumpās) ego stroked, and Putin was the only leader giving him less than a cold shoulder or very superficial (and unfawning) conversation.
Even considered in the most innocent light, Trump is still a fool. He doesnāt understand Putin, or Russiaās goals let alone long standing practices, nor the idea of āuseful idiotsā - and that he is vulnerable to being played. And being played he is. Not having an intentional witness (such as say, Putinās translator), anything could be portrayed by Putin as having been said or committed to (2 buildings the Russians want back, perhaps?)
Considered in the worst light, and this was, I believe, after the story broke about Kushner and Flynn approaching Kislyak about setting up a secure (away from the US govt) channel to communicate directly with the Kremlin, this looks horrible, can be seen as destabilizing by allies concerned with growing Russian aggression, and makes him look weak to his country, to his allies, and to Russia. Again I say, the president is a fool. But we already knew that.
