There’s actually an opening here for Trump. He doesn’t have to really attack Carson personally, but he can go back to one of his previous arguments by pointing out that Carson is taking money from big money donors while he (Trump) is funding his own campaign. He can say he doesn’t actually question Carson’s character or ethics, but that those big money donors are going to be demanding something from a President Carson that they would know not to expect from a President Trump.

I rarely agree with Trump about anything but he’s absolutely correct – Carson is spending a lot of money in Iowa. He’s been up on billboards in central Iowa for months now, probably more than every other GOP candidate combined. That’s helped his name recognition, which is important in a field of a billion candidates.
