Shit. For brains.This is quite ominous, especially since Mattis and McMaster have essentially cut DT out of the news loop on defense/nat sec matters. This is why weāre having confusion in Syria. DT isnāt engaged on direct policy. We have no diplomacy to speak of, and Mattis/McMaster are just positioning the military to be more aggressive without rhyme or reason as to strategy.
This cutting out of DT has now been operationalized. Itās going to be tough for DT to change it. But if he forces himself on that process, it could get quite chaotic and dangerous for everyone. The US and USSR had disciplined operations and tight control because they knew how high the stakes were. Now, weāre completely incoherent and dysfunctional and we have dangerous weapons. A lot of unintended consequences can arise out of such confusion and incompetence.
