Discussion: Trump Denies He Acted As Fake Spokesperson In 1991 Recording

Yet another Trump interview by NBC! I’ve lost count how many in the past week. And how many times have they interviewed Clinton? Zip. Nada.

Well, if you take it case by case, what we have here is audio you can go and listen to of a guy who sounds exactly like Trump pretending to be a publicist and bragging to reporters about the supposed boss’s superhuman love life and dating people like Carla Bruni who for their part say yuck I never dated him I met him like once somewhere. It’s completely insane. Nobody does this. So if Hillary wants to complain about this story in particular she’s free to but I wouldn’t if I were her. : )

trump wouldn’t lie, oh wait nevermind

Personally, I kinda see this as a kind of nothingburger insofar as it’s part of a bigger picture of him being a con man and a pathological liar.

But, we already knew that. Rump consistently lowers the bar on acceptable behavior to the point where him acting like a freak just doens’t prove anything we didn’t already know.

It is simple enough to verify. Voice recognition will either match or not match. Then he will either be telling the truth or he is lying. Simple.

Why would anybody want to sound like him, unless you were 7 years old?

It’s kind of funny and terrifying how well Trump lies. It’s SO CLEARLY Trump on the recording.

He used the word “tremendous.” Dead give away.

And, I suspect, we will see many more instances of his questionable behavior in the past coming out as the campaign progresses. His diehard followers won’t care, but it will continue to expose him as a smug, deceitful, untrustworthy individual.

Trump on Today: “That’s not me. Trust me. It doesn’t sound like me. How pathetic. You’re going back 20+ years for a story. Sad.” … Strange he didn’t add: " Let’s talk about Bill Clinton’s affairs!"

The great thing about Trump’s run is the humiliation he is going to suffer during this presidential run. Small ones, like having tiny hands. Big ones, like being forced to release his tax returns and revealing that not only is he not worth BILLIONS of dollars, he hides the few millions he does have in offshore tax havens. And the ultimate: Losing to a woman. If only that woman was overweight, Latino, and a lesbian.

The guy’s a chode.

Actually, I bet the guy HAS a chode.

@NBCnews Even if true (and it’s not!) it was youthful indiscretion. I was only 45 years old in 1991! Sad!

I disagree - this is the kind of thing that exposes him as Class A Creepy. Faking yourself in an interview to talk about your sexual prowess?!? Holy crap. That kind of thing can actually penetrate the thick skulls of some his red ball-cap wearing fanatics that maybe he isn’t quite the guy we want in charge. Do the data analysis on the voice, and if it’s a match, run with it. It makes him a joke.

It’s not as if there isn’t voice recognition software these days that can rather definitively and without prejudice or bias settle the question beyond all scientific doubt …

I would think the WaPo has a couple hundred dollars available to run the recordings through a couple of algorithms and publish the results.

I agree that we already knew he was a freak. But to millions who won’t make up their minds until the last couple of weeks he’s this colorful wacky guy who jumped into politics and did really well and says crazy stuff but he can’t be that crazy because he has billions. They don’t understand what he really is. But this helps them understand he’s not just crazy. He’s crazy. I want that branded right on his big stupid puffy face so everyone can see it.

It would be easy to prove it’s Trump. Just insist that it sounds like the person on that recording has tiny hands, or other (preferably juvenile) personal insult. Trump is unable to resist sticking up for himself. If Trump tries to defend the speaker, then you know the speaker is Trump.

Maybe John Miller knows Trump’s tax rate, he seems to know everything else about the man.

But as a professional publicist John Miller will tell you the public has no interest in that. No interest a-tall. They just want to hear more about how awesome Trump is.
