Kavanaugh lost me from the very first news conference, when he said: âNo president has ever consulted more widely, or talked with more people from more backgrounds, to seek input about a Supreme Court nomination.â
It was sycophantic bullshit, which means that Kavanaugh had no qualms about lying, publicly and blatantly. And if someone is prepared to lie that badly about something so trivial, and doing so in a way that was totally unnecessary, that tells you all you need to know about their character.

How can the Republican controlled FBI not conduct a full background check on KavanaughâŚthat is unbelievable. When I obtained my security clearance, the FBI talked to my entire group of high school and college friends and they made sure my list included everyone and did not omit some by design. They talked to my guidance councilor, coaches, teachers, and several of my supervisors from high school and college employment.
Looks to me like Grassley and McConnell convinced the FBI (Sessions & Rosenstein) to rubber stamp Kavanaugh.
