President Donald Trump is making early moves to place the blame on Democrats if Congress is unable to pass the President’s favored tax cut plan.
Now he’s not even waiting for the shitshow to get going before blaming the loss on someone. Progress!
At the moment, it doesn’t look like he can get Republicans to vote for his tax plan. So maybe talking shit about Democrats is both premature and poor strategy?
Then again, no one’s ever accused this president of being a savvy political operator…

Someone should ask Sarah Sanders how the nation would pay for an annual DoD budget in the range of $800 billion dollars, rebuild our infrastructure, and meet our commitments to fixed statutory programs like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security if corporate taxes are nearly halved AND individuals get a tax cut. Hmmmm???

Back in the day, Reagan used to lambaste Dems as “tax and spend”. It became pretty clear that the Repubs were “spend and spend.” Eventually, Reagan’s pragmatism prevailed and he had to raise taxes to undo some of the damage his cuts had imposed. “Pragmatic” and “Trump” don’t go in the same sentence unless they’re preceded by the word “not.”
Dems need to harp on the specifics: if Trump and the Repubs won’t cut spending, or identify where they intend to cut, they will aim right at the middle class and wreak havoc on small business.
Trump and his family are grifters. They want the estate tax gone so they can keep billions of dollars and not pay any taxes at all. But of course we don’t know if Trump pays any taxes now.

It’s amazing to me how dense, and deliberately vindictive to people who have done him no harm trump can be. They may have even voted for him and yet he trashes them.
