Discussion: Trump, De Blasio Aides Snipe At Each Other Over Trump Tower Evacuation Bill

Repuglicans are pretty free and easy with taxpayer dollars when it comes to greasing the palms of their buddy with the tiny palms. But ask for hurricane relief or medical care for the less-well-off, and they suddenly become Mr. Skinflint. Ryan and McConnell are real snakes, err, batboy and turtles.

Trump never pays his bills.

I certainly wouldn’t want to live in a target building like that. You just know ISIS is working on it as we speak. And all the other Drumph buildings around the world. They’ll be falling like flies.

Trump is thrilled to make this mess in Democratic voting NYC and make them eat the bill.

Or he gets someone else to pay the tab.

Here’s a deal: Show us your tax returns then we can have the NYPD protect you.

I don’t know if that’s feasible (IANAL and all that), but if so, it’s brilliant.

Alternatively (or additionally): In many states [1], warrants are issued against drivers who fail to pay traffic tickets, who can then be arrested if local LEOs take notice of them/get around to it.
I know this isn’t the same as a traffic ticket, but what would it take to have an enforceable arrest warrant out for someone who has been systematically ripping off the city? I’d love to see the orange sack-of-crap forced to stay the hell out of Our Fair City for fear of a well-deserved night at Rikers.

[1] Don’t know if NY is one of them.

So what. This just isn’t pertinent compared to other events locally and the world. Every locale incurs costs for added security when dignitaries come to town and regularly negotiate to get whatever reimbursement they can.

Me neither.

“took potshots at each other Tuesday evening on Twitter over who…”

Like I’ve always said:
“Social media” isn’t.
That is why many many people of all demographics avoid it like an outbreak of the measles.
As to the question of who pays for what, it’s all rich people playing with money.
While less than two miles from this building which seems to have become the latest cheap shrine to pomposity, there are still homeless people who are barely going to make it thru another cold NYC winter night.
And “social media” becomes the tool of the rich, the powerful, and the snotty.
Way to go, “social media!”

Hey, that’s a good one. By the way, when was the last time rump spelled with a t paid HIS bills? Maybe, if you check the courts, we’ll see.
