If anyone was wondering, Dennis Hof won the Nevada state Assembly District 36 race. However, the owner of the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada will not be serving in the state assembly anytime soon. He died on Oct. 16th.
Well wishers may congratulate the newly minted state assemblyman at the Happy Homestead Cemetery in South Lake Tahoe, California, where he was buried on Monday.
Fun Fact: His opponent may take solace in the knowledge that another candidate who lost to a dead man was John Ashcroft, who lost his 2000 US Senate bid to deceased Democrat Mel Carnahan 51% to 49%.

If you did not see this press conference live, GO BACK AND WATCH - you’ll see Trump unhinged - barely able to control himself in trying to control the questioners, insulting them, commanding them to sit down, etc. At one point, I thought he was going to get physical with Jim Acosta - it was brutal - am man truly unable to control himself when challenged - he could not conceal his authoritarianism - it is sickening to see this behavior in a President.

I live in Mia’s district. She’s affectionately known as MIA here because she doesn’t seem to represent anyone other than herself. She voted with him more than 95% of the time, so I wouldn’t really say she “kept her distance.”
Sadly, this race still has not been called, although her Democratic challenger is up. (The outstanding votes all appear to be in more dem-leaning SL County and in R+35 Utah County.) Would be nice to have a dem rep again, even if he’ll be a blue dog. That’s the reality of our heavily gerrymandered state.
Was also hoping that our state redistricting proposition that moves in the right direction of fairness would pass handily. But that’s also too close to call. Guess our Mormon neighbors believe in fairness only when it applies to them. (Yes, I’m a little irritated about that.)
I voted to kick Erik Paulsen out of MN’s 3rd Dist. He voted along with Trump’s agenda 98%, but tried to say he was a moderate. The district had two genuine, well respected moderate Republican reps for decades, but he didn’t qualify in an area that favored the Dem presidential candidates in the past three elections. In addition he approved several nasty and deceitful attack ads against his opponent. Good-bye, and don 't let the door hit you in the ass!
