I hope the attendance at the ceremony is waaaaaay down. Can’t wait to to see the list of “artists” who are going to perform at his Balls. (Jeez, that’s sounds bad and weirdly accurate.)

That’s also how the GOP succeeds. Ethics? Consistency? Truth? We don’t need no steenking values, we just slap “Family Values” all over the most disgusting crap imaginable and instruct our people who run the evangelical ratwing to tell their congregations either they vote for the GOP candidates or Satan wins.

We don’t have to be true or ethical or patriotic. The idiots xians will do whatever we tell their leaders to tell them to do.

What Trump will borrow the Pope Mobile?

If you go, you may regret it the rest of your life.

The Pope would never lend it to him!

Because Trump tries to activate the herd instinct by using false claims about stuff like this to make himself appear popular. Even most of the people who voted for him despise him. He knows this.

I wrote both Bill and Hillary, as well as Jimmy Carter, begging them not to attend, not to add any legitimacy to Comrade Coir Coif’s coronation. Sadly, they didn’t take my sage advice.

I would’ve written Shrubya too but that morphed into a yet another letter to the International Criminal Court begging them to at long last try him and his criminal cabal for war crimes. Sadly, they didn’t take my sage advice either.

The Pepemobile, on the other hand …

Oh that’s funny. It could get really embarrassing if he actually does fuck it up. You know, people pointing and laughing, ‘look at stoopid’, stuff like that. And I hope it’s real windy with that mop on his head blowing every which way. Gen Flynn will be there of course, hiding in the bushes watching for foreigners and anyone looking suspicious. Which will be everyone.

I don’t even understand America anymore, and I live here.

Ok, this is a no-brainer. Obama has to attend, because he remains bound by official considerations. The Clintons and everyone else–no fucking way. Trump is prima facie a Russian stooge and a usurper. He may be de jure the next president, but he does not merit the trappings reserved for a normal democratic transition.

God, how is this even a question for these people? How much of a fucking quisling do you have to be to go around wondering, “Should I attend the inauguration of the most unfit, stupid, sexual assault-promoting, fraudulent, unqualified, lying sonofabitch ever?”

Pathetic.

I like to think back to Obama’s first inauguration. I’ve read that 2 million attended, and then the First Couple took a short walk. She wore yellow, he wore a big smile. Nothing like this will happen this year, but even if it does, I won’t be watching.

@nemo I don’t particularly want to see the Clintons in attendance but a boycott by ex-presidents would go against a long tradition. I think dubya will be there, don’t know about Poppy or Carter, though they could decline on their age alone. We shouldn’t let the tangerine buffoon determine the amount of dignity that’s on display that day. Just because he has none doesn’t mean we should go that route.

@tiowally Shortly after W was sworn in he became the “too stupid to be president” guy around this house.

@darcy The thing on his head will look worse than this after a few hours of blowin’ in the wind. We’ll finally get to see its forehead.

Only if the Pepemobile had enough gold gilding and II Corinthian leather upholstery.

Meiklejohn, who voted for the Green Party’s Jill Stein

He may as well have voted for Trump. Unsurprising that he thinks it’s fine to attend, he still doesn’t understand what he and his ilk wrought.
