Discussion for article #246580
Fuck em Trump Fuck em lets go start a third party I will help, I wont vote for you but I will help.
He really doesnt want to be President. Its too much commitment.
Trump: “I pledge to run as a Republican in the general election. Unless I change my mind.”
In his business dealings, he seems to have had a similar approach to contracts.
“and the corporate takeover continuesssss.”
Well, now that the free press (at least for now and until he wins!) has detailed the RNC and Senate’s efforts to defy Trump, it does now look like he’ll pull put and run third party. Lovely I say!
He can cross “Negate any future negative action or comment from the RNC” off his to do list.
Seeing how inept they are…
He’s a salesman who’l say anything to close and who loses interest once the deal is made and a Casanova who loves the conquest and not so much the morning after.
Or sticks around defiantly and overnight redefines obstructionism as weakness in 2 tweets. Lol
John Kasich seems so decent and mature in comparison to the other foolish, bombastic, and untutorable fraternity boys still in the race. Kasich/Haley against Hillary/Warren (or Biden/Warren should a true bombshell blow Hillary off the tracks) would at least offer a chance of discussing and choosing among serious policy alternatives aimed at the real threats facing this nation. The list of threats includes the messages of Trump, Rubio, and Cruz as well as the men themselves. The Republican Party today has become nothing more than a shadow of its best former self (Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush). Sadly, no matter the age of who is chosen to front it, it has become the GOD (Greedy Old Demagogues) party. Easy for all to see. I personally doubt that God is pleased. He (or she) apparently doesn’t take careless impersonation well.
Trump told CNN host Jake Tapper that he was representing “a lot of anger out there.”
For a guy who has had two divorces and four bankruptcies, he sure seems to think he has the answer to everything. Sometimes it’s just better for things like political parties to die?
First day as gop leader he will change the brand to TRUMP, which stands for Terribly Unglued, Misenthropic People or similar words of your choice…have fun completing the acronym to your liking.
Parents if this isn’t child speak what is ? To me what ever Trumps take on things is child speak.
IIRC, the pledge was and always has been “I pledge to run as a Republican in the general election as long as you uphold your side of the bargain and treat me fairly. If you don’t, deal’s off and all bets are off.”
The RNC seems to have started minding its Ps and Qs; the GOP Senate not so much. There is a gorgeous NYT article on the subject.
I’m going pop popcorn and sit back and watch.
Why would the Lord care about politics much less the health and welfare of the GOP? Satan, however, might. But that’s a philosophical question.
There is no one in the GOP who isn’t corrupt and/or incompetent any longer. When you can’t deliver clean drinking water to citizens, you are done. Suggesting that a Kaisch/Haley ticket could fix what’s wrong is just desperation speaking.
Warren and Biden intend to help our ticket not hinder it. You aren’t going to get anyone here to take that bait. You suggest that Democrats haven’t been frustrated till now? We have desperately been trying to keep the ship of state afloat now for decades while Republicans joyfully shot holes in it.
I’m glad to see you finally sobered up enough to at least admit something is wrong. But you are still talking religion instead of changing failed conservative policies. You obviously need to find a new religion, too.
This year’s GOP convention could be nothing short of Thunderdome or just be a bad production of West Side Story. Since I don’t want to see Trump in a black leather jacket, let’s hope Tina Tuner is in full voice and the neocons are ready to rumble out there in the desert. .
He’s not wrong about this. The establishment Republicans serve their corporate overlords. They just feign interest in the issues that matter to ordinary Republicans -for better or worse - and it’s coming back to bite them.
Whether it’s tax policies that favor the wealthy, immigration reform to benefit corporations, giveaways to corporate interests; it’s all to benefit the big and powerful.
The poor saps in that party can’t even get their way on same sex marriage and other social issues. Maybe that’s why they cling to their guns and religion.
I used to think he did not want to be president either. But I now think he is just totally clueless on what it takes to be president so he actually thinks he could do it. “Eh, make a few phone calls, talk tough, sue some countries, play a lot of golf”
Ted Cruz version: “Make a few phone calls, talk tough, sue some countries, play a lot of golf, eh.”
